Founded in 1961 in Colorado, Chart House now has more than 25 U.S. locations. The restaurants, many of which occupy historic buildings, draw on the local region's natural features, making each one unique. Atmosphere is Best Feature. The Chart House is known as one of the most upscale restaurants in the area. Recently had a filet mignon there and was seriously disappointed for the price. Overcooked steak and shrimp with nothing-to-write-home-about mashed potatoes. For a group of 8, the service seemed exceptionally slow. Salad bar is good. I prefer to go without reservations, sit in the lounge and enjoy the fact that they serve a generous glass of wine (great selection) and delicious unique appetizers, and the lava cake is a must. You're paying mostly for the setting, upscale, beautifully decorated, on the water. Currently they offer valet-only parking.…
