This place is just average nothing special , food and drink are par and staff is lazy . The location and lack of other venues in Santa Rosa keep it full of people . I pass on this place .
- Pros: they make ale
- Cons: lazy wait staff
Good stuff

Nate is the best bartender anyone could ask for. Aleworks has awesome beers and pretty good food. Just ask for your fries to be extra chrispy, otherwise they're really soft. Always cool people there. Wednesday is Deaf Night, and clam night (when weather permits) so it's generally crowded then. Tuesday is cheap beer night. I think the only night I've been when it isn't busy is Monday.
- Pros: Nice bartenders, good beers.
- Cons: Hostesses can be rude.
Great Beer, Nice Patio!

Loved the beer! We always stop in here on weekends. It is the perfect place to go for food and drinks after the movies (which is right next door) The service is always good and friendly. You can't go wrong!
I go there because it's there

The food has been consistently mediocre for 12+ years but at least it's consistent and the place is centrally located and open late. I've given up on the BBQ oysters just a huge disgusting mass of grey guck with underseasoned pesto or canned BBQ sauce. Garlic fries why do I eat fries with a bunch of raw mashed garlic? The beers are consistently uninteresting with the exception of the alt bier which is never available. Two points for being open late.

Went there with a party of 4. was told the wait would be 30 minutes. after 45 we were "next on the list" after 60, we were still "next on the list" though 5 other parties of 4 had been seated and there were many names crossed off on the list below ours. the place is huge, so it was even more frustrating that they kept seating parties and not us though we were there first. the hostesses were very rude. the stout beer was good, the wheat beer was average. i will never go there again.
- Pros: stout beer
- Cons: rude hostesses
frustrated eaters

My family and I have tried several times to give Aleworks a chance, but have walked away each time frusterated. We kept hoping that the terrible service from hostess to waiter to manager was just a fluke because the food is pretty good and the atmosphere is casual, which works well for kids. Our complaints have fallen on deaf ears and we do not go and will not go there again.
The hostesses are rude, the waiters and watitresses are unattentive and the food takes along time to come.
- Pros: casual atmosphere, decent beer, good food
- Cons: , wait people unattenti, management unhelpful

What does it take to get a medium rare hamburger at a brew pub? The beer is excellent but the service was lacking and unapologetic. I went back just to see if it was an off night and because it is right next to the movie theatre. Again, the burger was cooked to death and I about died of thurst waiting for a beer.
- Pros: excellent beer, cute pub atmosphere, reasonably priced
- Cons: , service sucks
Best Brewpub/Restaurant in Sonoma County

I'll tell you- this place has it all-
Great atmosphere, AWESOME house brews (try the blackberry ale, but I mostly go for the Irish Stout), FANTASTIC garlic fries, yummy oyster cookouts, the food is not to be missed- easily down a few pints here and you'll go home happy! There's an upstairs with pool tables and the bartenders and waiters take care of you fast- however, this place can get crowded-
Plus, there are two parking garages within walking distance, and by the time you leave this place, your parking will be free- :)
Not to be missed!
- Pros: Inexpensive, Great parking, BEST drinks
