User Reviews for The Palm

5 Star Rating: Highly Recommended

It is the Palm. The floors are wooden, the celing is metal, the staff is in coats, the food is pricey and the atmosphere does get loud. So if you want something else (like a private candlelit dinner) go somewhere else. If you have kids get a sitter. If you want to dine in an electric atmosphere where it feels like a party is going on and you have the wallet or company card to handle the toll by all means go.

Pros: Manager named Jamie was very attentive and even suggested where to go after dinner

Cons: People bringing thier kids

Been there done that, I have eaten at the Palms about 50 times and it "aint what it use to be" the service was okay, the steak was just not all that. The drinks are extremely over priced, and not always full when you get them?

Pros: Valet parking, palm club for coupons

Cons: Price of the drinks, service can be spotty, no sep checks for large parties

My wife and I went there for lunch. Service was excellent but the food was terrible. I had the fish of the day which was Mahi Mahi. The prep and appearence was good but it had no taste. Just about the worst I have ever eaten anywhere. My wife's steak was sent back once because it was too rare and after two attempts, the server removed the charges from the total bill. Over all, if you want good food, go somewhere else. But on the other hand, if you are a visitor to Nashville or not a true native, and want to go to an "upscale" restaurant to "try" to see some high profile people.......go for it. They would love to take your money.

Pros: Service

Cons: Bad food

Just be advised that this restaurant DID NOT pass reinspection. How could they not?? To be such a "high class" place? It makes me mad they they charge people high prices for their food yet they don't can't or WON'T keep their food up to the standards people have. It's disgusting.

I ate at the Palm last night as it was my girlfriend's birthday. I did enjoy the valet parking as it is hard to find parking downtown. However, once inside the noise level was tremendous. We ended up having to sit on the same side of the table to hear each other. The food was very good, but not worth the price. If I am going to pay $30 plus for a steak, I expect it to be incredible. For a place that promotes the quality of their steaks, the were no better than a meal at the Outback and Ruth Chris or Flemmings have better taste. The waiters were far from personable and did not smile at all. Then they were out of a vegetable and substitued another (without asking) and then charged us for it. All in all, if you like eating decent, overpriced food in the noise level of a Titan's game then this is the restaruant for you. If you want a nice, quiet restaraunt where the food quality is comparable to the price then choose elsewhere.

Pros: Valet Parking

Cons: Noise Level, Ambience, Taste to Value

We chose this restaurant as we frequent this restaurant several times a year!!!!! But no more. My money spends good elsewhere!!! I have had enough. The atmosphere leaves much to be desired, the noise factor was such that we could not converse with one another. We made reservations in advance but they stick you in a room with the masses (basically the no bodies) Waiter could not smile if he was forced to. WE ARE DONE WITH THIS PLACE !!!!!!!!!!!

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at the Palm. I was a little leary after reading other reviews. But, I have to say that the service was excellent, food was great, and the atmosphere was nice. We started off with an appetizer of Portobello mushrooms which was awesome. We had the Lobster dinner for two which was wonderful. It is a bit pricey but it was a celebration and we don't normally spend that much on a meal anyway. I have nothing negative to say about The Palm.....I would recommend it.

Pros: Great food and service

For all the hype and the social agenda of The Palm, I personally was not impressed. We had dinner there with three other couples and I can say the service was good and we had a great time because of the company. For the prices I would have expected the quality and originality of the food to be much better. For the price there are many more restaurants with more personality and flavor. I will say I was introduced to Chocolate Martinis at The Palm (they do have an excellent Chocolate Martini!) and I am now hooked on this delicious cocktail!

Pros: Chocolate Martini, service

Cons: Value

great ambiance, great fish and salads... love the lighting - love the service BUT the red meat is very ordinary. still, it's probably the best italian in nashville...

Pros: ambience and real live quality

Cons: not a great steak...

I took a group of 11 to the Palms this past Friday and certainly regretting exposing my out of town guest to such terrible service and a horribly loud restaurant. The service was extremely slow and not attentive - needless to say that several of the meals were delivered cold but by that time, we didn't dare send them back for additional delays. The Palms is advertised as an upscale steakhouse that rewards high-profile patrons but at our table, even adjacent table members could not carry on a conversation with an 'inside voice'. I have had more intimate meals (with warm food) at the Lone Star. Frankly, our reservation should have been rejected as the restaurant was clearly over their capacity. Needless to say, never again would I attempt a small group at The Palms

Pros: ??

Cons: too loud, poor service
