Offering Alpine gardens, some of Vermont's best views and plenty of company.

Overview
Figure on a full day's excursion getting to the top of Camel's Hump and back. The exertion is worth it. The eerie, wind-raked summit knob has extremely fragile arctic grasses (watch where you step), and views ranging from the Adirondacks to the White Mountains. This is one of Vermont's most popular hikes. Be prepared for crowds. The trail begins near Couching Lion Farm.
Features
An ascent on the Long Trail starts at the Winooski River (the lowest point on the Long Trail at 325 feet) and concludes after a vertical rise of 3,758 feet at the summit of Camel's Hump.
