It's a load of male cow when you can't just call and get show times for movies. that phone number is just male cow , so you can find one of their price full movie theathers i already know there's one in Davenport i just want to know what movies are playing and what time they start , you got to have internet to get show times i mean it's how much they charge and the whole monopoly thing they got going with the food stand charging so much for a pop that's mostly ice. personally i would like to go to the new one in moline that place is nice and it has soft seats. if my husband didn't want to see this movie so bad i would wait intill it can to video 'cuz they all do sooner or later. in closing sorry but i hate your inconvent phone staff sucking system!!
Pros: soon i have a drink from a drifferent place
Cons: ouch my back pocket hurts

I know a little more than most about this theater being a customer and a former employee several years ago. I'd say the first review was probably more accurate. Ticket and concession prices on almost all items add $0.25 every July and every also every December. Combine this with the fact that only 0.10/hr to 0.25/hr raises are given out yearly and you can almost guarantee a mix of "I don't care, I hate my job" attitudes. This theater has a near monopoly in the area so even the upper management could really care less if the customer receives sub-par service. They figure you'll be back anyway. Food Service Warning: This place is at best, unclean, at worst- unsanitary. Theaters are notorious for having ro ach problems (Did you know that?) because of all the popcorn and sticky soda left on the floor and this theater is no exception. Are you sure that crunch you stepped on was popcorn? Just think what you'd have if you left that sort of food sitting around your house. The pizzas are only supposed to sit in the warmer for 30 minutes but they averaged about 3-5 hours. Management disapproved of these being thrown out. Same thing goes for the hot dogs- ever seen a hot dog sit on the roller for 7 hours? Hot dogs are not supposed to be crunchy. Candy is just as bad. They used to sell boxes of cookies, but nobody bought them. Management kept them in the display cases for 3 years before finally giving in and throwing them out. Same story with the icecream. Fruit flies everywhere and on everything. It couldn't be more disgusting. Insider note- the gummy bears look like the best value, they're in a normal sized box and the price is less. This is because the bears come in a bag that fills up only have the box inside. It could be argued that you get what you pay for, but in this case it's just deceptive. Don't risk getting your kids sick, I worked there and I wouldn't. Bring your own food in- there's a gas station across the street.
Pros: Up to date equipment, good movie variety
Cons: Poor service, dreadful sanitation, lathargic managment

The first review was pretty harsh. I have never had a rude experience at the theater. I found the seating comfortable. The snack bar was of course overpriced but they have a wide variety from the traditional fare such as popcorn and candy to nachos and pizza. There are discount show times in the afternoons. Don't go at night at the peak times the shows are more expensive but that is true of every movie theater. There is also ample parking available. I enjoy this theater. I wonder if the other post person remembers the theater on Brady St. There were barely half the screens and the seats were not as comfortable and the concession options were traditional items only. So I think that the Showcase Cinemas is an improvement.
Pros: good parking, expanded concessions
Cons: expensive at night, food is expensive

The staff at the theatre was increadibly rude. I was gouged on consession prices, and inexpensive refills were not offered. I have never been so put-off by a theatre. Just because they bought out the competition, that does not mean they can be rude to the customers. I will never return, and I will make sure to detour my friends and family from ever going there.
Pros: I got to leave
Cons: Expensive, Rude, Unhospitable
