A great escape for nature lovers year-round.. The Scene
This rustic Olympic Peninsula escape sits on the Pacific Ocean and the western edge of Olympic National Park. Its owners claim it has the best sunset view on the Washington Coast. Some of the cabins are so close to the water that when the winter storm waves break on the beach below, the spray flies up over the buildings. On rainy days, the place is popular with refugees from a nearby campground.

The Details
The property combines 20 bluff cabins overlooking the ocean, 24 log cabins with partial views and a 50-year-old lodge with ten rooms. The bluff cabins are rustic and have private baths; most also have kitchenettes and fireplaces. All of the log cabins have kitchens, fireplaces and private baths. Kitchen utensils are not provided, but fireplace units come with a bundle of firewood. Hotel-style rooms are also available. The lodge offers winter storm packages.
