best dinner ever!

What a wonderful dinner we had at teh Woodstock Inn! We ate in the Richardson's Tavern and the food and the service were excellent!.The room is so nice, warm and sophisticated; the staff pleasant and friendly. Wonderful experience. We will be back!

The Scene
Woodstock is popular with vacationers who come for its spring and summer activities, turning autumn leaves, abundance of winter sports and resorts such as this historic property. Owned by the grandson of John D. Rockefeller, the inn dates back to 1792.

The Details
The style of the 142 rooms is contemporary, with old-fashioned touches such as wood-burning fireplaces and handmade quilts. Furnishings such as bookshelves and love seats provide a homey feel. The wide variety of accommodations includes Porch Rooms with glassed-in sun porches and third-floor Tavern Wing Suites with master bedrooms. Restaurants include the formal dining room, the casual Eagle Cafe and Richardson's Tavern, which hosts live music on weekends.

PLEASE GO!! AWESOME MAGNIFICENT!!

This is the best place I have ever stayed...throw open the windows and have a view of the country side...its unreal. The service was the best and the accomodations are magnificent!! I would highly recommend on any visit to VT to stay at this Inn..IT is romantic and a classic place to rest and relax!! The restaurant is 4 stars and boasts great service and wonderful food! I have stayed at many hotels, I have to say this is one of the best!!
