much more than just a sushi restaurant. the prices are higher but you get so much food. my husband and i went there because we are going to be moving to japan, the staff was so helpful about helping us pick out food, and explained to us the different types of food. although we didn't eat any sushi it did look beautiful. try this restaurant you won't be sorry.
- Pros: nice helpful staff, great food, a good selection

Having lived in Japan for many years, and being married to Japanese national, I am always ready to say that the restaraunts in the USA do not measure up. I have to say that Kotobuki did meet many expectations that I would have from a place that claims authenticity. I would suggest this as GREAT local place for sushi, and other Japanese cuisine. Enjoy.
- Pros: Food, Service, Ambience
Craving authentic Japanese? This seats diners at knee-high tables, has over 40 sushi varieties, and loads of traditional dishes.

The Scene
The sushi bar greets diners as they step into this authentic restaurant revealing an array of delicacies. Japanese art adorns the walls of the dimly lit main dining room and the five traditional Japanese rooms. The rooms fill up quickly as groups cozy up on the plush carpet and eat at the knee-high tables.
The Food
Over 40 varieties of sushi rolls and hand rolls cover everything from pickle to tuna, shrimp and eel. A salad tossed in the delicious house sesame dressing and miso soup begin the meal. Specialties like the delicious nabeyaki udon contains a bounty of shrimp tempura, crab, and thick noodles in a rich broth. The "Dinner for Two" is a satisfying sampling of sushi, sashimi, tempura and pork katsu, beef Negimaki and Yakitori.
Great Ghent Eats

Really good sushi-- very consistent. I used to live around the corner and it was equally good whether I was getting just one roll for myself to eat on the go or having dinner with my fiance. My friends' kids even love their food! We always enjoyed the sumo wrestling videos on the tv and the pleasant, scrupulously clean sushi bar. This is a must-go for sushi lovers. MUCH better than the overrated Szechuan in Ghent.
- Pros: fun, clean & fresh, delicious
- Cons: little pricey
