Best cajun food in coastal bend!

This place is great! Great atmosphere, love the crazy decor, they have great service and even better food. My favorite is the Hungry Cajun. They served it on butcher paper with a little hammer for those crab legs! The spices are perfect, I ended up licking my fingers in order to get every last bit. The hungry cajun consists of corn on the cob, sausage, new potatoes, crab, crawfish, and shrimp. It was just enough food for my husband and I. I recommend this restaraunt to everyone I know, it is soooo good!
- Pros: Food, service, experience
- Cons: Gets packed on the weekends its soo popular
over priced and over rated

The food was about 16.00 per person. The famous "bowl" consisted of mostly potato's and corn.
The gumbo was the worst i have ever had,..!
The beans were good. The rice was the instant boil a bag type..I was very disappointed.
- Pros: relaxed atmosphere
- Cons: low quality with a high price

6 of us visited The Crazy Cajun on March 8, 2008. We all ordered the Hungry Cajun. They deliver the food in a large silver bowl and dump it on the table. The Hungry Cajun consists crab legs, shrimp, crawfish, smoked sausage, new potatoes and corn on the cob. The food was GREAT and the spices were perfect! My only complaint was that the shrimp were hard to peel. If you are in Port A, you definitely need to make a stop at The Crazy Cajun.

We visited this place during Spring Break based on the recommendations on this website and we weren't disappointed! There are only a few things on the menu but they are all delicious. This is a very laid-back place with a very unconventional way of serving food that is great for relaxing and having a great meal with family, friends, or both.
- Pros: Inexpensive, Casual, Good food
- Cons: Bit crowded
