Very unaccommodating customer service

I pay them for 5 years -- on time I might add- for a car loan. At the end of the loan, I call their customer service to talk about the loan being paid off. I am at work. No paper billing statements, all paid online. But if I cannot furnish my customer number, they won't even consider talking to me. Egads! Don't they have other questions they can ask to verify my identity? Nope. Only the customer number and nothing else. I'll never BANK there that's for sure.

Awful customer service and new policies

Ever since Omni American changed from a credit union to a bank their policies and customer service have gone down hill. After being a customer for 12 years I am closing my account. The last straw was when they took my automatic car payment out 2 days early and would not do anything to refund the 3 NSF charges I got because of this. I was told that it is a seperate company that does their bill pay and that I would have to call them. Even though the draft check was dated for the correct day the bank put it through 2 days early. They said it wasn't their error so there was nothing they could do. I don't see how they couldn't refund the charges that THEY charged because of an error of the company that THEY use to run THEIR bill-pay. Long story short I had to pay 105$ in NSF fees and 2 of the fees were for small purchases $5 and $7. I was very disappointed in how this was handled and even e-mailed the president of the bank, which they have available on their web site. Never did get a reply from the president either. POOR POOR POOR customer service.

- Cons: Changed the policy from a deposit made any time that day was credited to your account to you had to wait one whole business day. And then it's credited after the bank closes.
