In Short – The first International House of Pancakes opened in a suburb of Los Angeles in 1958 serving a menu of hearty breakfast favorites. Today the restaurant still serves its signature dishes like the original buttermilk pancakes and pigs in blankets: sausage links wrapped in hotcakes. Other breakfast items include waffles, omelets, French toast and crepes. Non-breakfast offerings include sandwiches, burgers, entree-sized salads, and dinners like T-bone steak, pot roast and herb-roasted chicken.
Editor's Tips
- The Extras:
- Patrons age 55 or older can take advantage of the Senior Specials: a menu of items in smaller portions and at lower prices.
- Know Before You Go:
- The kids menu has favorites for the 12-and-under crowd like the Funny Face (chocolate chip pancake with a whipped-topping smile), chicken strips with fries and the Silver Five: five silver dollar-sized pancakes served with an egg and bacon.
very bad service

I recieved the worst service ever for the second time at this IHOP !!!! I am so disappointed. The first time I thought it was just a waitress having a bad day or new waitress trying, that was a little acceptable ,but then 3-4 weeks later me and my sister went after shopping and we sat for ten minutes. Then another table was seated (they got served first) finally got drinks another waitress gave us our food and then another came by and gave us refill on drinks while ours was flirting with the guys at the table in front of us.Called manager and explained we use to waitress and we usually do not complain but that was really unacceptable. He stated she had several complaints but he didnt know what to say.I left it at that!! And the food wasnt all worth the wait, only if there were more smiles.
- Pros: food ok
- Cons: service bad
