I took a donation to the shelter and the staff was rude! they didnt even seem to appriciate my donation! the place is dirty and smells really bad! we really need to build a new shelter and get people that know how to treat animals to run it

Adopt at your own risk

I adopted a puppy from this shelter and was told that I had to wait 6 days to take my puppy home because she had to be fixed first. Upon picking up my puppy from the vet she was covered in dry fecies and was evident they hadn't bathed her which was even worse because we could not bath her for 5 days due to surgery. After getting her home, we found out she had a bad case of Kennel Cough that had went untreated. So at this point my dog that is already at home has been exposed. when I called the shelter the girl told me that they had had a bad case of kennel cough a week before and they had never made us aware at the time of adoption. The girls that were running the facility when I was there were snotty and rude. There was no compassion or friendliness towards myself or my 4 year old daughter. If this is how they treat other human beings I would hate to see how they treat these animals behind closed doors.
