In Short – When this decadent hotel was built in 1908, it was Nashville's premier place to stay. Now, it's a preeminent destination for discerning travelers. Visitors will find themselves added to a guest list that's included presidents, movie stars and sports legends. This property is all about a customized, personalized stay. Families are pampered with special activities and services for children, such as classes in traditional Southern table etiquette during afternoon tea.

AMAZING Wedding Venue
by sthomps at Citysearch
I just held our wedding reception and housed most of our guests at the beautiful Hermitage Hotel. I was asked numerous times by many friends who my wedding coordinator was for such an exquisite event, and I have to admit that I didn't have one... I didn't NEED one because Joann and the wonderful staff at the Hermitage Hotel took care of every need, presented every possible scenario, offered every service, and went above and beyond to ensure that my husband, myself, and our guests were treated with 5 star service. Our friends can't stop talking about the attention to detail, the amazing staff, the wonderful rooms, and the delicious food we served at the wedding! I could not have dreamed of a more fairytale-like wedding, and it was all thanks to the extremely capable hands of Joann Camcam and the wonderful staff of the Hermitage Hotel. Thank you so very much.
- Pros: Exceptional Service, Attentive Staff, Delicious Food
- Cons: None
Totally Worth It

I actually live in Nashville and just stayed here for the sake of having a romantic night away from home. Therefore, I can say that maybe for a simple solo business trip this might not be the best choice. However, if all you want is a luxurious weekend and have the ability to splurge a little bit then this is an excellent choice! The staff is very accomodating. I made a special request on an online form and received multiple emails from the concierge about it beforehand. The bathtub is a great size and you can watch tv while relaxing which I really enjoyed. They offer a few different pillow selections- including buckwheat which you don't see very many places. The room was very large and included a small sitting area. There was a problem with the TVs which isn't a huge deal to me because I have the same problem at home. The hotel has Directv box there is no Directv box in the room with the tv so the channels are strange and do not match the in-room channel guide. For the price you pay for the room a cable box should be in the room so the TV works the way it is supposed to. Altogether my stay here was excellent and everything I imagined it to be! I probably won't stay here again for quite sometime- this was just a special occasion- but I would reccomend it to others.
- Pros: Bathtub, Pillows, Room Size, Service
- Cons: TVs, Wish I could have afforded to stay longer

Dear Mr. St. John,
I am very concerned to read your comments regarding your unsatisfactory experiences in our establishments here. It seems we missed all the way around. Please accept my apologies, and consider allowing us to make things right with you. I would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you in person so that we can get things back on track. We will do whatever seems appropriate to that end.
I hope to hear from you soon. You can call me here at the hotel, 615-345-7101.
Sincerely,
Greg Sligh

You will get better service at a Super 8. Trust me, this is NOT a five star hotel. Afternoon tea service-LOUSEY. A decent assortment of television channels-NOT (even Hampton Inn gives you the Premium channels). I won't even begin to lament about the abismal service in the bar. I stayed at the Union Station last time and decided to "treat" myself to a five star establishment. I was wrong. Union Station-take me back - PLEASE
