National chain rustles up rib eyes, T-bones and fillets in a kid-friendly, Lone Star-inspired setting..
In Short
One of the country's most successful steakhouse empires attracts a casual crowd with huge, reasonably priced steak dinners and a tempered Texan milieu (country music and imposing cattle busts). Wise diners turn off their internal calorie counters, as many menu items arrive fried, covered in cheese, or both. A typically rich meal starts with cheese fries, followed by a blue cheese-crusted fillet. Fried cheesecake ends the night on a note of Texas-sized decadence.

Top shelf cust. service!.
We visited the location on murfreesboro road and had the best server possible! His name was Charlie and I would ask for him on any visit there. The food was very good and he made the evening very enjoyable with his promptness to our needs and his witty humor. Of course these people who go hear thinking it's like Fleming's or Ruths Chris ,get real! It is definetly the best steakhouse for the money.

Not to much to recommend.
I love the design of the restaurant and the food. However everything else here seems to fall short. The service here is on average- awful. In the 3 times I have been here there has always been something wrong with my or my dining groups orders. The wait to get your food in here is long, even when the restaurant is only half full. I have been to several other locations of this chain and have had great service!! This location just seems to fall short......

Top Ten Steakhouse? Is this a joke?.
Come on, folks. How did Longhorn beat out Ruth's Chris Steakhouse?! There is no comparison in the steaks here. I love the peanuts and child-friendly atmosphere. The formula works for mainstream America I suppose with decent food, friendly service, and reasonable prices for this chain but, this is not the place to take your wife on an anniversary or special occasion, unless you find the couch a comfortable place to sleep. The steaks aren't bad, but they're average, which is why I give Longhorn an average rating. Top ten steakhouse in Nashville? I don't think so!

Wonderful Service, great food.
I go to the one in Hermitage at least once a month and it is a treat. It has great family atmosphere. I love the lobster appetizer, great drinks, wonderful bread and pretty fast service.

Longhorn Westend on Lyle Avenue Great service.
I frequent the Longhorn on Westend Nearly 3-4 times a month. My favorite dish is the Flos Filet with grilled shrimp. This Filet is the most tender filet I have found around nashville. The Grilled shrimp is extremely tasty has hint of spicyness to it. Also try the Wild West Shrimp Appetizer, with hot peppers and the longhorns special prairrie dust seasoning. It is Fantastic.

Best Kept Secret In Nashville.
I hear everyone touting the Stockyard and Ruth's Chris, but not one of them so far has ever eaten at Longhorn. The steaks and sides are everything Outback and Logan's wish theirs could be, at a price comparable to those two places. Great southwestern decor, great service and superb steaks have made this my absolute favorite restaurant-anywhere.
