La Choy would be better!. Being in Airline management I have had an opportunity to try Chinese food in many places and I was very disappointed with the food. Too sweet, salty, oily and fatty. I tried the duck and it was served in less than 5 minutes! - A very bad sign. It lived up to my worries. It was probably made a week earlier. Also the other dishes were pretty bad.
Best Chinese Food In the Nashville Area.. The overall experience at Chinatown was excellent. We were seated pretty quickly and service was great. The waitress took her time in explaining and recommending the dishes that we were to order. The appetizers were superb, the food even better. It was quite tasty, and very authentic Chinese Cuisine. The children?s portions as well as the regular portions were succulent and exquisite. The price for the whole meal was very adequate. We strongly recommend Chinatown Restaurant.
Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors. Sweet and sour delights tucked away in a clean, well-decorated eatery in a strip of shops next to Hillsboro High.
Once a great place --- what happened!?!?!?. I use to look forward to Chinatown Takeout weekly but the service and food has steadily declined. The food is oily and bland now. Oil leaked through the bag twice. The service is descent but slow at times and prices have increased significantly for lower quality service and food. If you plan on take-out look elsewhere this place has lost it's quality.
The Night of My Dreams. When I drove up to the quaint little restaraunt, tucked between two stores, the Donut Den's red lights flashing on my surprised face, I wasn't expecting a lot. The night exceeded my expectations as Evan and I devoured our won-ton soup, delectable spring rolls, and savory sweet and sour chicken. The setting was romantic, a unique Chinese ambiance made me forget all about my problems. At the end of dinner, four little fortune cookies lay decoratively on the reasonable bill. I opened one, and inside of it lay an exquisite canary diamond ring. "Oh, Evan," I exclaimed as he wrapped me in a passionate kiss, although that didn't have anything to do with Chinatown, I adore the restaraunt. Highly reccomended on casual dates!
Chinatown defines the typical Chinese restaurant. Chinatown is the typical Chinese restaurant -- when I say that I mean the menu is the exact same as any other Chinese restaurant in the world. The service was somewhat slow -- the food was no better than average. How they claim to be one of the best Chinese restaurants in the country baffles me.
Delicious Dining. I've been eating at Chinatown for many years. The atmosphere is wonderful with its lovely decor, linen tablecloths and cozy booths. The service is always fast and extremely friendly. The food is consistently good and they are very accommodating with any special requests. The hot tea is both delicious and soothing. Prices are quite reasonable. I can always count on an enjoyable dining experience.
I've loved Chinatown for years. I grew up eating at Chinatown. Not only do they have great chinese food, but for me it is also comfort food. I eat lunch there at least once a week. Their wonton soup is the best that I've ever had.
Great Dinner. I'm a student in Nashville and lower prices are always better when looking to eat out for dinner. Chinatown has always been very good and EXTREMELY fast with their service. Literally, if you only have 30 minutes to eat dinner, you can be in and out of Chinatown in that time. They have a good sweet and sour chicken and fried rice. I've heard about great lo mein as well! I would suggest this for anyone needing a good, quick dinner, anytime!
