Clothing damage. i thought this cleaners would provide quality service given the location and because it provides a slight discount to my employer.

In less than four months, two articles of clothing had black splotches which an evening clerk attributed to a clothing label the first time. The second time black splotches appeared on clothing, I was told that it came in that way, which was not true. When I asked to speak with the manager, the individual said she was the manager. I knew then, that her rudeness and lies meant this was not a cleaners I would ever visit nor refer to friends or coworkers. I will contact the BBB regarding the clothing damage and manager rudeness. Individuals in service industries should understand that their business relies on quality customer service and quality work.

Friendly Workers Good Dry Cleaning. Staff is extremely friendly. They give student discounts. I've taken dresses, shirts, jackets, bedding, many things there and everything comes out great.

Nice staff, TERRIBLE WORK. The people who work here have always been very nice to me, however, literally 80% of my shirts come back with buttons broken. When I tell them, they fix it, but they use buttons that don't match and don't even use the same color thread - even when there are extra buttons on the shirt. I found one button today that was sewn on to replace yet another broken button but sewn on so terribly it came off when I put it through the hole. I have no idea why this place can't seem to stop breaking my buttons, and when they do, why they can't do something as simple as match the thread and use the extra buttons provided on my shirts. I am sick of paying the highest prices in town to have my clothing torn up. This is ridiculous. Do NOT take your clothing here, they are nice but the work is TERRIBLE.

Destroyed my silk trousers!. I recently brought in some crinkly silk trousers I had bought in London -- designer, very expensive. It clearly indicated on the label that the silk should not be pressed, just lightly steamed. This dry cleaner pressed it, which destroyed the crinkly look of the silk. They tried "fixing" it, but basically, it's ruined. They made no offer to compensate me at all.

Even though I live in the neighborhood, I'm never trusting my clothes to this place again. You shouldn't either.

Poor customer service, sloppy work, high prices. I do not recommend this place at all. Yes, they do have a convenient location, but the dry cleaning is well below average and their customer service skills are poor at best. I had 2 bad experiences there. First, I took my wedding dress to be cleaned and preserved. I filled out the paper work and they said they would send it out and call when it was done. I was never called, so I went back only to find out that they drycleaned it and never sent it out. They sent it out again for preservation (without much apology) and 2 months pass and again - no call! Second, I took some clothes there for drycleaning. I brought a brand new white shirt to be drycleaned for a job interview and it was returned with a red stain on it (right on the front) and the whole shirt looked yellow. This business does not take pride in their work and they act like they are doing you a favor rather than a paid service. By the way - this poor service comes at a pretty high price tag. The convenient location is not worth it!

Good location, rude and unreliable service, your clothes are not always well cleaned. Village Cleaners benefits from its proximity to Vanderbilt. They even offer a nominal vandy discount. Still, going here as a customer is not worth it because you're clothes don't always come back clean or wearable. If you have shirts or other cotton garments that you need cleaned, starched and pressed--BEWARE your clothes will come back unwearable and hard as a board (carelessly overstarched) and when this happens the people at the desk will act defensive, rude and will do little to fix the problem. One time, a white garment that I had was stained yellow after incorrect starch preparation and pressing. The people who work at the desk are snotty and act rather entitled to your business, even though their service and attitude are poor and their prices are high. It is unfortunate.
