Best Burgers in Town. If I want to go eat the best burgers in town, then I'll always head to Brown's. It's your basic hole in the wall spot, but those are always the places that produce the best eats in my opinion. So if you want a great burger with some fries, then head to Brown's Diner. You won't be disappointed.

The mobile home-style building isn't the kind of place you want to get caught during a tornado, but it is a delightfully tacky, greasy spoon. The narrow bar, congenial bartenders and smoky interior confirm that this is a "burger joint" and make it a popular local hang for the Belmont-Hillsboro crowd. There are grilled cheese sandwiches, Frito pie and other diner-inspired foods, but when folks talk about Brown's, they talk burgers, fries and beer.

Good for all occasions. Despite what the CitySearch reviewer says, Brown's is good for all events. Birthday parties, romantic night out, graduation dinners, etc. The people are so friendly that every meal feels like a world-class celebration. In all seriousness, a number of families do come for dinner early in the evening, and even as the live music gets going late in the evening, the atmosphere is far tamer than your typical live venue. I'd say more, but I'm on my way there, right now.

And as a correction, since the fire, they take credit cards now too!

Slummingly wonderful burger.. There are just about a hand-full of places in Nashville to geat a great burger. Brown's diner is in the top two. Don't expect anything fancy. This place is a double wide trailer that hasent seen any renovations since Nixon was in office - but that is part of it's charm. It is simplistic, but both the burgers and the fries are always consistently wonderful and the price is always reasonable.

Dive Bar Burger. Brown's Diner is one of Nashville's Best kept secrets. I've introduced their burger to many friends and have always gotten the same response "this is the best burger I've ever had!"

If you're in the mood for a quick, delicious burger & a beer in a casual setting, Brown's should be your destination.

The Best Burger in Town. This is the best place for a burger. Nothing has changed (except the fries).

best burger ever put inside me. i think this place is great! it can get a little smoky in there every once and awhile but hey thats what a good burger joint should be filled with!

No-frills fantasy. Looking for a dive with great burgers and no fancy airs...Browns is it! Forget the frilly toppings and dig in to a great American burger.

Great burger!. Brown's burgers remind me of the kind one could get in drugstores when I was a kid. If you enjoy old-fashioned fried burgers, Brown's is as good as it gets.
