Understanding the logic of lower forms of intelligence requires quick wit and ability to act on the fly. In your case, the simplest resolve was to renew your card. Once you have complied, get your "product" refund. THEN, ask for a refund on your membership fees. I believe SAM'S offers a 100% member services satisfaction guarantee. (unless that's a printed lie)
* 100% guarantee on Merchandise and Membership.
* We will refund purchases in full with a receipt.
* No receipt, we will refund the purchases in full with a Sam's Club Shopping Card.
* We want you to be 100% satisfied. We will refund any membership, in full, at any time, if you are not satisfied for any reason.
NOTE ABOVE: "We will refund any membership, in full, at any time, if you are not satisfied for any reason. "
Play the game by their rules, then use their rules to achieve your desired result..... LOVE IT!
bye sams. I'd been a Sams customer for 10 years. Some people there are friendly. Some have an attitude. I make my first return ever after 10 years of pouring thousands of dollars into their pockets, and apparently I am giving them a "hard time" because I ask why I can't get my refund before I renew my membership which had just expired a week earlier. Maybe I had a bit of a scowl on my face - I'm sorry - only an hour earlier I just found out my dad is dying, and I'm worn out from being up all night tending to him, making the trips to and from the hospital, carrying him, cleaning him, etc. on top of the usual day-to-day headaches and occasional tragedies. And the man is comforting her and calling her "baby" like I'm Satan's daughter. I'm just standing there - I've said one thing the whole time and that is the question: why do I have to renew my membership to get my refund? (It does seem like everytime you turn around you have to renew). Anyway, I wish someone would baby me. So since I am such a problem, asking for one $50 refund out of perhaps $30,000 worth of purchases over the years, I've taken my business to Costco, and so far they have been very friendly, and the product selection is much better than Sams. Bye, Sams. Sorry to give you guys such a "hard time."
