36.161007 -86.828383Great job!!What a wonderful moving company, Orlando and the crew were great to deal with! We had nothing broken during the move! They showed up on time and are very professional. We moved from Nashville,Tn to Arkansas and the whole experience of moving was good. Everything was on time and was handled patiently and professionally. The guys didn't want to stop for lunch but we bought Pizza and made them eat. They actually continued moving while eating. They did everything on time. We were very pleased with their service. I would recommend them any day and definitely use them again. Thanks Again!
DO NOT USE THIS THUG..Ok, get this, I have an appt set for 2 weeks, I call to confirm the appt. The owner had an excuse for not being able to. He told me to call later and ' its all good man '...Right..I call back two days later, He still cant confirm the appt..THEN, we hang up (or so he thought he did) He then goes on a verbal nasty racial rant to whomever is in the office with him and I cant even type his comments, it was very thugggggish... If you use this guy BEWARE,, He musta realized his butt dial, then calls me to explain that hes 'had a long week' He was embarrassed. I asked him about the racial cussing about me that I overheard and he hung up on me... wow ..THUGS!!!
Great Move!!!!!!.
Some friends told me about Catfish moving company - I had never heard of them. I had to make a last minute change and my original moving company could not accommodate but "Catfish" did. The owner actually came out with the crew to introduce himself to me. He was very professional and made sure I was taken care of. He offered boxes to me and was very helpful. His guys even moved a heavy item for me that I couldn't do by myself. The guys didn't want to stop for lunch but we bought Pizza and made them eat. They actually continued moving while eating. They were very cognizant of my time and moving cost.
Kudos to Catfish and crew!!!!!!
Wonderful move! Great local yet very professional company.
The move was fantastic. I recently moved between Nashville and Knoxville. I had to be at my new house really early, so Catfish offered to load up the day before, hold it, and move out first thing the next day for no extra charge.
I did plenty of research on local movers in the Nashville area. Not only did they offer the best price, the owner gave me a quote over the phone, then came out personally to give a second quote for no charge. The quote given then was EXACTLY what I paid for upon completion. I had about 3-4 rooms worth of stuff and they were done unloading in just over an hour.
Everything was right on time, no damage, no loss, no hassle.
I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.
PS: Also, my roommate was moving up herself (a separate and local move) and when they saw her pick-up full of stuff, they helped her move up heavy furniture upstairs without hesitation) and still got everything done on time and on budget.
Absolutely the worst move I ever experienced.
The Good: The owner himself came by to look at our home and give a quote. He was friendly and seemed to capture all of the details needed for a smooth packing and moving job. They agreed to pack and move us on a Sunday which a lot of other companies might not normally do. The cost seemed relatively good.
The Bad: They arrived 2 hours late with no notification. Once they arrived, they had less people than what they told us they would have. Turns out they took on another job on that same day and split up some of the workers. They ran out of boxes to pack our belongings and claimed that they could not get more since it was a Sunday. As they were running out of boxes, it was also getting dark. So, they loaded up the truck for storage and took it while leaving lots of things still in the house. The other truck that was meant for taking about a third of our belongings to our next home ended up being too small. They seemed completely unconcerned that an entire bedroom was not packed up yet while the truck was full. I had to take it upon myself to start loading our personal vehicle with items that i could not possibly leave behind. They seemed to think they were finished because it was dark and they were out of boxes. However, we were departing at 5am the next morning and we found an entire linen closet unpacked as well as multiple kitchen drawers and cabinets and office drawers. The owner showed up to help "pack" while the other guys loaded stuff into the storage unit. He made negative statements to the effect of it being MY fault that they ran out of boxes because I have too much "stuff". (isn't that what the pre-move assessment was for...to see all of the "stuff" and plan appropriately to pack and move it????)
toward the end of the night, i was in tears as i overheard the owner dropping kitchen items (unwrapped) into the last large box (scratching everything inside) and literally dumping office drawer contents on top. I also watched while all of my linens were carried to the garage storage area to sit uncovered for the next two years...possibly longer. Now that my husband is moving the rest of our belongings out of storage, he has warned me about how beat up our nice furniture is. (The furniture that was simply loaded up and transported across town to sit comfortably in storage.)
I've moved many times in the past few years, and this was by far the most incredibly painful moving experience that I could ever imagine.
Don't trust them with your business. They may cost less that other companies, but it is NOT worth it!!!
Theives!.
I used them several years ago. They took a 2 hour lunch and did not answer their phones while they were gone. Come to find out that their "long lunch" was most likely spent pilfering thtough our stuff. We didn't notice the missing items until the following week (After we unpacked). I'm not going to mention what they took, becaus ethey would know who we are due to the specific items. BEWARE!!!
On our last move, we used "2 men and a truck". No missing items and no mystery time.
Great Company To Do Business With.
Orlando and the crew were great to deal with! We had nothing broken during the move! They showed up on time (Day after Christmas)!
My wife and I were very pleased with their professional service. We came in under budget and that was a big plus!
If you are considering a local move, the Catfish Moving Company is great!
Thanks Again!

BEWARE. First of all I wanted my move to be scheduled for 8am and CATFISH was unable to do so, and scheduled me for 9am. A week prior to my move I called CATFISH to confirm. The day of my move I did not receive a confirmation phone call not at 8am or 8:15. I made a call to CATFISH at 815, 830 and 845 with no answer and left messages. My move time came at 9 and there were no movers and still no phone call. CATFISH finally called at at 930 to say one of the movers car broke down and was running late and he would be there within the hour. And they arrived 2 hours late at 11am with 2 men to move a 2 bedroom home, and took 6 hours to move me. BOO CATFISH, YOUR SERVICE STINKS AND SO DO YOU!!!!! YOU ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO RUN A BUSINESS. PLEASE ALL BEWARE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR YOU WILL BE SORRY.
Wouldn't recommend for long moves. Moved in July 08 from Nashville, TN to WA state. First, you have to pay for the U-Haul (I was a little uncomfortable with my name on the truck) but was acceptable. Packing crew was very friendly and efficient. However, not everything fit on the truck, which I found out after fortuitously returning to the house to find all of it. When I asked Catfish about this, he asked if I had any suggestions?! He did eventually agree to come get it but with no clear idea as to how to get it to me. Then, a couple of days into the move, he called and asked me to wire him $2000 for "gas money" because his funds were "tied up." I refused and he somehow managed to get here anyway. Minimal damage to our stuff, but did not receive the left behind goods for 3 weeks (shipped via Greyhound to a town 15 miles away, and not all of it was present). In short, they have a good work ethic and probably heart in the right place, but thoroughly unprofessional.
Did the job wonderfully!!. Windell and Doug were great!! The professionally came in and moved my stuff and got out of there. I would recommend them any day and definately use them again. However, they did have those hidden costs that I didn't know about so definately ask about additional costs. But with that said, they're still the best deal in town. I called everywhere and nobody could beat their price. Other than getting them from Kroger, Catfish even gave me heads-up on the best place in town where I could get boxes for cheap! He gave me a courtesy call after Doug and Windell arrived to make sure everything was good. And it was. I hate moving but these guys made it easier on me. The name may be unconventional, but you can't beat'em and the service was great!
