From pecan waffles to legendary hash browns, breakfast fare rules at this homey 24-hour chain restaurant--but don't miss the chili..
Since 1955, this Atlanta-based chain has welcomed an all-hours crowd of shift workers, suits, regulars and late-night partiers with comfy booths and an extensive menu of Southern-accented home-style grub. Waffles (pecan or regular) are the restaurant's most popular dish. Other breakfast favorites include porterhouse T-bone steak and eggs, country ham, and signature hash browns cooked seven ways, from smothered with onions to topped with chili or cheese. Another bargain is the bowl of chili, which comes topped with onions, ham and cheese.
Waffle. excellent great wonderful good stuff would eat it every day
yummy. All I can say is I have never had bad food at Waffle House and my child loves it. Great coffee and great food. Go get ya some.
HASHBROWNS. You can only get the best hashbrowns in the world at Waffle House. What's even better, you can get anything on the menu any time of day. You can also follow it down with a cherry or vanilla coke (no, not the kind they sell in bottles; the kind they make in the store).
After the bars close.... I just never eat at Waffle House, except on those rare occasions when the kids are off at the grandparents' and hubby and I decide to go out for an evening of drinks and dancing. Once we close down the club, we both start craving food. You know that kind of food I'm talking about -- greasy, bad for you, served by a waitress with an attitude food. The ONLY place for that is Waffle House.
