I Love it.
When ever I'm on this side of town I hope it's lunch or dinner time becasue i love this place. If I could own a restaurant it would be this one, I love the old decor it feels like an old hunting lodge. The burgers are great and so is the Black and Blue salad

No way going back.
It's a Saturday evening, and the place was quite busy.
Three of us happened to be seated right next to the door. That was all right. Our steaks came out, and the server didn't know which steak was which. We figured out on our own, and those steaks were not grilled. It's jut came out of a buttered pan. I don't know what happened to their kitchen, but we're pretty sure they don't have the same owner or different chefs. It's not what it used to be. We can't say we enjoyed our steaks. We all took our leftover and gave it to our dogs. So so food... That was all right, I guess. We were looking for our waitress waiting for our check. I saw her chat with other waitresses in the corner and tried to get her attention for a while, but no use. I followed her, and finally I had to interrupt her flirting and playing with the bartender.
We weren't happy with their food, but we are really done with their service. Sportsman's Grill, Good luck and hope you can keep up with your good rating.

Great Food, Good Service and not too crowded..
After trying two other local places we went a short piece down the road from bellevue and was able to get right in. The food was great - adult beverages were coldest around and the service couldn't have been better.

Stick to the Gerst.
I frequent Sportsmans, mainly because it is so close, but I never leave this place pleased with my meal. First of all, unless you get a salad, there is nothing remotely healthy on the menu. I got the ribs last night and they were truly depressing. It looked like a McRib patty. There was no evidence of actual smoking of the rib, and they were void of flavor. Not to mention, they were $14. I took them home, churched them up with some brown sugar, vinegar, broiled them, and made them at least eatable. Stick to the beer.

Have a fishbowl of Gerst and a tasty meal at this hunting lodge of a sports bar..
The Scene
This is one of the few sports bar-type places in Nashville where people go for the food more than the TV. The menu has the usual salads and fried basics, but there's a distinct flavor to the fare at both locations. Gerst draft beer is served in fishbowl mugs, a must for the true Sportsman's Grille dining experience.
The Food
The intro bread is a super-spicy pancake. Most patrons order a large salad, then a burger, a basket of chicken wings or fried catfish. There are also a handful of sandwiches offered. Make sure to try the red beans and rice with sausage.

Dead Animal Motif.
As you would expect at a restaurant called Sportsman's, there are all kinds of dead animal trophies everywhere. We had to kill a little time before a wedding and this was a good place to do it. They have a pretty meager selection of draught beers, but one of them is Gerst Amber Ale, from Gerst Haus. It was pretty slow so the service was good. We didn't eat anything but the food we saw carried by looked pretty darn good.

Good if you're not in a hurry.
The food is good, but the service is slow. The atmosphere is better than a typical sport bar.
