Horrible Buffet!. I went to Golden Coast for lunch around noon. The lunch buffet was already very old and dry looking. I decided to try the buffet anyway and was disgusted. Though there were a decent variety of dishes there was only 1 flavor. Everything tasted like MSG.

I've been to this buffet 3 times and all 3 times it's been this way. I'll never eat there again. Save your money, go somewhere else...

Steamed Dumplings!. These are the best steamed dumplings I've found in the city. The sauce is spicy with lots of chives. Everything is pretty good off the menu. I didn't think the buffet was all that good.

Order off the menu. If you go here for lunch, try ordering off the menu as an option. They give an ample plate with a soup and rice for under $5, and it's super-fast, too. There's more flavor, and it's not nearly as tepid as what you get on the buffet at times.

Also, they make excellent Cantonese stuff that you can't get on the buffet line. I recommend the Hunan Beef/Chicken, the Twice-Cooked Pork, and the Kung Pao. Ask them to spice it up if your palate is up to it.

AWESOME!!. I'M A HUGE CHINESE FOOD FAN BUT I'M NOT ALWAYS SATISFIED....THIS PLACE WAS AMAZING. FRESH BUFFET WITH ALL THE FAVORITES. I HIGHLY RECOMEND.
