We just left Hermitage Steak House, 02/15/13, having gone there for a combined 22nd anniversary/Valentine's Day dinner. We are so disappointed in the 22.00 and 26.00 filet's we had. Mine 6oz filet was supposed to be medium rare. It was medium, sent it back. My husband's 8oz filet was medium rare like it was supposed to be but burnt on the outside. Neither of them had any seasoning at all. He ate half of it. My new steak was medium rare but hardly looked like a filet and by the time I got it back, I didn't even want it. We brought them both home and essentially paid 60.00 including a tip, for the salad bar and baked potato. The waitress didn't advise management and if she did, they didn't come and even address our issues. Needless to say, we won't make that mistake again. We'll go to Outback where at least they care whether your steak is good or not.

hermitage steak house. i have been to the hermitage steak house many times, but in my most recent visits.i have discovered that the food and service is not as good as it used to be.the salad bar is good, but the pricing to get a salad is way too much.in general, i think the food is very over-priced,and over-rated.i dont think the steaks are as good as they used to be,but i do like the bread.i also think the service was very poor.there are only a few waitress that i prefer.i think the manager needs to be be more active with the resteraunt and the customers instead of being in her office,or in some other place.i strongly dislike this resteraunt now.if you are looking for a good steak,go to logans.their food is tastier and better priced.

Consistently the Best Filet. I can't believe that anybody has anything bad to say about this Steak House. We've eaten at every other steak house in town and none can top this place. Granted, the only steak we ever order is the filet because it is just so good, why try anything else. The salad bar is fantastic and allows you to create your own to suit your own taste. If you like potato skins, you have to try theirs. This is the place we always take our out of town company and everybody raves about it. It is better than Morton's or Ruth's Chris without the hefty price tag and without the pretentiousness.

I don't get it. This place is OK, if you like an expensive Logans Steak House. I have nothing against Logan's but when I go there I am not going to pay 24.99 for a bland, boring steak. Our server was OK, but really somewhat of an automaton. I really don't see any reason to have to go back.

One of Nashville Best Kept Secrets. I have been to all the Big Commercial Steak Houses in my travels and this is one of Nashville's best kept secrets. Steak is fantastic, Service is always friendly and helpful. The salad bar is one of the best I have every been to. Atmosphere is really nice, the resturant is built to look like a log cabin and is very attractive both inside and out.

The live guitar player on the weekends is a very nice touch.

Delicious. The atmosphere of this place is nice and romantic, although it's more romantic on one half than on the other (the side with the booths is more romantic). The salad bar is a little tacky, but yummy and has foods that most salad bars leave out: like more exotic peppers and even pickled okra. The salad bar is usually well kept, except for one time that I went. The food is delicious- especially the tuna appetizer, but there isn't much variety and it is expensive for what you get. The roll that comes with each entree seems to be out of a bag in the freezer section of Kroger. I think that this restaurant is definitely worth going to, but check any coupons you may have- with the percentage of the mandatory tip it may be cheaper to forgo the coupon. Try the tuna! It is phenomenal!

Everything was Bland. Bland food, bland atmosphere, bland staff...this place was just plain boring. I have never in my life been so bored at a dining establishment. The food tasted like it was prepared for someone with no taste buds. It was just awful.
