My poor kitten

My boyfriend and I came here to get a kitten. The employee working was extremly friendly and the place looked clean. She gave us a great deal, however the problems started the second we got home. Our kitten was infested with fleas, had pink eye, and worms. I would never purchase another animal from here again unless I was going straight to the vet to make sure it wasn't also sick and infested. I'm glad I saved my kitten from this place, but it wasn't fun getting a kitten and the next day racking up a huge vet bill

Helga's is Horrible.

The place was filthy and it smelled horrible. There was an impolite, young woman helping us who stayed on the phone the whole time. We saw the poor puppies, in their awful states, and sleeping and playing in their own waste! It was pitiful and soooooo sad:( I want them to go out of business! I dont know how but I feel terribly bad for those little puppies:( dont go there!

Helga's is a puppy mill outlet full of filth and disease

Too bad I can't put negative stars!

I lived in Clarksville between 1990 and 1997. Helga's has been a horrible pet store since at least 1991 when I first came across it. The place stinks, and its not from being a pet store, its from being a FILTHY pet store. Many animals have come down with illnesses after being purchased or boarded here. These animals know nothing other than a filthy cage, and it is so overcrowded that illnesses spread fast.

Helga is also very rude. To make matters worse she simply doesnt care about the animals, or the customers. She cares about HELGA , and the almighty dollar.

To be honest, in a way I'm surprised she's not been shut down yet, but then again, her husband is a sheriff's deputy at the Jail, so obviously she has inside connections at work to her benefit.

I wish folks would wise up and turn around and walk away. If you feel sorry for the pups, think about the hell their parents are going through, and the fact that their parents will continue to make more pups to take the place of the one you buy. The only way to run this "woman" out of business is to completely boycott her store. No purchases of any kind not even a rawhide for your own dog. This is the only way to get through to this woman, trust me, I had some very very nice show dogs when I lived there, as well as some pure bred cats that I raised and showed, helga always wanted me to put them on consignment with her and would even use planted people to come pick a pup and buy it for "themselves" .. that happened one time, and I saw it in her store 2 days later. I told her the papers would not be signed over, as I had a spay/neuter contract before they would be signed. I didn't get the pup back, but she didnt get the papers and holds a grudge to this day. At this point I was forced to start doing home studies on the prospective owners and put a clause in that they would be sued if they got rid of the dog other than returning it to me. Anything to protect my furkids.

Suffice it to say, DON't do business with HELGA D. the owner of Helga's pampered pets

• Cons: That she is still in business
