watch out for wet floors – We stopped twice this past summer at this McDonald's. Each time we had my parents with us (in their 70's) Each time the floors were sopping wet and extremely slippery. The first time, the older lady was mopping, didn't have the wet floor signs out and was oblivious to the fact that the customers were slopping through the wet floor, leaving foot prints & splashing up the back of their legs. It was obvious that she was told "Mop at 5:00" and it didn't matter whether the dining room was busy or not.
The second time we stopped - 6:30 pm - guess who was there with her magic mop? Yes, the same lady. I accompanied my aunt (who has had a stroke & walks with a severe limp) into the bathroom & waited for her to finish. The lady with the mop came in & began to work. I explained to her that I had a handicap person with me & walking on wet floors was not a good idea. She said "OK" and left the bathroom. I thought maybe I had gotten through to her that sopping wet floors and customers walking on them were not a very safe idea. When we finished in the bathroom, I was shocked when I opened the door to see that she had begun mopping at the bathroom door and was working her way backwards through the dining room toward the west. There was absolutely no way to get out without walking over the sopping wet floor. When she looked up at me holding my aunt up as she slipped and slid to our table, there was a brief flash of "oops" in her eyes. At least I hope so.
I understand the cleanliness is important, but do the floors have to be THAT wet that they take 10-15 minutes to dry? And how often do they need to be slopped. I haven't run into this in any other location.
Thought you might like to know about this before it becomes a safety issue.
