Best place near the Rhode Island shore!. Fresh seafood, great ribs, succulent calamari, a resident dessert chef, friendly service. Closest thing to an English Pub. Family eating area separate from the bar and a sports viewing and eating area with 21 Tvs and $5 pitchers of beer. Happy hour free snacks (non-summer). A posh martini bar on the second level. You will find a host of locals here most every night: Town Council members, fishermen, business owners, college students, seniors families with children...and everyone else. I have never had a bad meal and everyone I have brought there has been delighted and gone back many times.

Great Variety Great Prices. I go to Charlie O's very often. In the winter time plenty of empty seats...summer time might cause a 30 to 45 minute wait, but It's a great place to have lunch or dinner. A nice place to meet friends play pool, have a few beers, sit around and shoot the bull. A portion of the restaurant is separate from the pool tables so it will not interfere with your dining experience.

The Menu is phenomenal. A huge variety of food to choose from, and all of it 99% of the time is great. A sampling of the menu ranges from Baby Back Ribs, excellent Prime Rib (assorted sizes), Chicken and Veal Parmesan (Italian selection is good), Steak, Pork Chops, Lobster, Fried Whole Clams (extensive seafood selection), sandwiches, etc. The service is usually excellent. Drinks like Manhattans are doubles and at a great price.

Great food and a fun place.. This is our favorite restaurant down at the shore, perfectly cooked food & wonderful cocktails. You know it is good when all the locals are there and it is packed. There was something for everyone, a wonderful selection of fresh seafood, real old fashion clam chowda with non greasy clam cakes, pasta dishes and great steaks. I was doing a fried oyster survey and my husband was doing the fried clam survey, ( not very healthy, but we were on vaca) and CharlieO's won both for us. We ate dinner there three times with different guests during our week long vaca and everyone loved it. Fun atmosphere too!
