DECISIONS!!!. We just became a homeowner and moved up to the area in June on 895. I have Verizon DSL and have had it for many years now.... They moved the service to this new address without a problem. We also have Dish Network and Vonage. I was thinking of getting a package with Blue Ridge, the phone, cable, Internet. but all these comments definitely gave me something to think about!!! Right now Vonage is great and the internet is perfect and Dish is a little pricey depending what package, i just wish they would stop switching channels around!! we actually had a Burger King Channel. HAHA!! But, it's something to think about!! :] thanks!!

Former Blue Mountain User. I was also a former Blue Mountain subscriber and found nothing good about the service. What they passed off as broadband would drop down to 56K when there were a lot of people on the service. Myself and a board member at the lake were the ones responsible for getting Verizon DSL to Lake Wynonah. It took a year and a half of research and work to do this, but we effectively used the Act 183 legislation to get DSL in the lake and were the first community in the entire state to do so. This was how bad I felt about Blue Mountain cable, I would not give up until I gave the consumers here a choice to put them out of business. How they still survive is beyond me, the day we can rid ourselves of them and at least have comcast will be a happy day indeed. I believe there is 10 more years on the pathetic franchise agreement

Blue Viewers Cable. Usually can't find anything worthwhile, would like Sleuth, Investigation Discovery, etc. Found something good on PBS, but kept getting ABC (Desperate Housewives instead of Miss Marple!!!!!!) This went on the entire time of Broadcast. I would give a lot to have Verizon FIOS come into area, would even prefer Comcast. (had to give a star to publish, would not have given otherwise)

Update: PBS has been unavailable since switch to digital- per Customer Service Rep(??) and when asked if they are adding any new stations she said she didn't know, she only works there.

Can not wait to drop. We have had much trouble with this organization. They do not respond to their customers. The phone is always busy. We have been very unsatisfied with internet service, it was always slow and dropping connections. Now that DSL is available we have it. As soon as Verizons VIOS is available we will change cable also. We even filed against them with Better Business B and they just lied to them and have not changed one bit. They thought they would be the only one with this service forever but they are going to find out not so when everyone jumps ship this year and next.

cable company from hell. Had this lousy service until Verizon came into area. Would like to come back to cable to get Phila channels but not as long as this outfit is the provider. Where the hell is Comcast?
