Be very careful about buying anything within the GVMA service area. Glendale yearound or Reade/White Twp. I really hate to say this, but the director of GVMA is supposedly a "preacher" and this man will stab you in the back faster than you can imagine. A good friend of mine owns a restaurant in the area and she graciously allowed GVMA a sewer R.O.W. over her property without compensation, then GVMA promptly sent her a tap fee bill for TEN THOUSAND dollars. $10,000!!!!! Not a misprint. This is only the tip of the iceberg in their underhanded dealings. If you must deal with them, do not trust anyone and cover your a$$ in all aspects.

I really gave this alot of thought before I wrote this. Glendale Yearound and the area surrounding it is very beautiful country. Therefore I am giving it more than one star.
Right now at this time the community is very divided over water and sewage rates and the fact that the board wont help the campers that it hurts the most wont help fight it. We will set that aside for now, because it is a bill.
I would have to say that my review is based heavily on the board that is in place right now in Glendale. The board, even though a majority of campers want to fight the proposed water and sewage rates will not help fight said rates. One member of the board was bold enough to say if you cant afford the rates then get out. Sell and go elsewhere you can afford. Another person said all utilities went up since last year? Oh really, yes electric went up 1.4% not over !00%. And electric can be placed on stand by and you only pay 6.00 a month not 80.00 a month on months you dont use it.
Lets talk about the Glendale board some more. They were caught building a roof over the pool deck without a permit. By the way a board member turned them in. So a fine had to be payed instead of doing it legally and avoiding money spent they say they cant afford.
The same board member who turned them in for the building permit had a stop sign placed at the end of his circle. The two major roads that come together are a block awat but they voted on placing it outside his circle.
This board member also had a fight with the board and held the Santa Suit for the Christmas Party giving the children no Santa for that Christmas.
Do yourself a favor before you go on what I am saying. Ride thru the campgrounds and notice the high number of campsites for sale. This is a red flag right there.
After you see the high number of For Sale signs think of what I said. A board that cheats, cares less about a section of the community and would ruin a childs Christmas because he didnt get his own way. Dont forget the board member that said if you cant afford the new rates sell your land and go somewhere you can afford.

Glendale Yearound The perfect Getaway to Be Cheated.
First off if your buying a house you must remember that you have a community of three different kind of property owners. You have the Homeowners, Trailer Owners, and the Camper Owners. Sounds like the perfect combination. Your hundred thousand dollar house in the same location as a 500.00 camper housing a family of four. Yes families do live in campers here. If your looking for that weekend getaway heres a rundown of the new dilemma. Information you may want to know before you buy a camper at Glendale Yearound. The water and sewage base rate is going to be $80.00, and this includes stand-by. So if you use your camper once in June the price is still $80.00. Plus as most people dont use their camper in the winter there is still that eighty dollar a month water and sewage fee. This is on top of POA dues and remember the board did nothing to help fight these rediculous rates. This is fact and can be backed up by looking into the rates before you purchase. Well the rates havent gone into effect yet but its a done deal and can be verified by calling the GVMA. This by the way is a base fee if you use the water then you pay the metered rate. The Board seen this increase as fair and told the people that voted them in bend over and take it or get out! Beware of this place. THIS IS A MONEY PIT WHERE EVERYONE IS MAKING A FORTUNE OFF OF CHEATING YOU THE PROPERTY OWNER
