Great Work, Efficient and Reasonable. I called Mertz Plumbing to have a radiator in my home removed. My work was scheduled for the next day and was completed in very quickly, neatly, and efficiently. I was surprised about how fast the radiator was removed and my furnace started back up, which also included bleeding all the air out of all the radiators. I have had work done by Mertz Plumbing in the past and highly recommend them. Their work is great and they are very dependable and honest.

BAH HUMBUG :-/. The Worst!!!

Do not get your plumbing done by this company, my experience was completely horrible. Initially I set an appt to have my pipes fixed by this company as they have done some work in my building per the association, that 1st appt the plumber came 3hrs late and then told me I had to reschedule, which I did. On the second appointment then send a new guy, who didnt have a clue what he was doing, called another plumber in to help him, to which I was charged not only for the 5 hours (originally suppose to 3-4) it took to complete the job, but also for the second plumber coming in, The bill matched nothing of what I was quoted and I was never advised that there was going to be an additional charge to the bill. Stay away from this company!

Knowledgeable, More Than Fair. We used other plumbers before and have never been happy with our experiences. A friend gave us the name of Mertz Plumbing and told us that Bob would be able to take care of our problem. Bob resolved our plumbing problem, was very pleasant to work with and was very fair with his price.

Hard Working, Knowledgeable and Conscientious Master Plumber. We have used Mertz Plumbing for years and have always received excellent service. My parents relied upon Don Mertz for all their plumbing needs for years and were never disappointed, and the quality of their work has not slipped a bit since Bob took over the business. Bob and Don are ALWAYS friendly and courteous and they are two of the hardest working plumbers in the business. Don't believe the negative reviews -- talk to anyone who has actually used Bob or Don and they will all tell you the same thing -- they are great plumbers!

Nightmare of call backs, yes more than one!. I was a customer of Mertz Plumbing & Heating a couple of times. But that all changed with my last experience with Bob Mertz. I made an appointment to do a simple faucet change in my bathroom. Bob and his helper arrived late and didn't even have the courtesy to call and let me know they were running behind. When I say late, it wasn't twenty minute or a half hour, it was almost two hours!! They changed it within an hour and were gone. (They weren't very thoughtful with laying there tool box on my newly remodeled bathroom floor may I add.) The same day when using the faucet, water was leaking all over the sink top. I called Bob and he came to fix the problem, but charged me for HIS mistake. A few days later, I was cleaning and saw that in the cabinet that it was wet. The connector part was leaking also. With a lot of frustration, I didn't even want to call him again because of fright that he might mess it up again. I looked online and found Matt Mertz Plumbing, I called and explained my problem. He was on a job but had his uncle Bill come out that day. He was very friendly and professional. Not only did Bill fix the issue at hand but explained what simple thing that Bob did wrong. Thank god for Bill Mertz!.

Exceptional Master Plumber. My wife and I moved into a >100yr old victorian about two years ago. It's a great house, but has needed some work and we've used contractors and tradesmen across a variety of disciplines. Our plumber, Bob Mertz, is without a doubt the class of the bunch. His skill and craftsmanship are second to none, he is always on time, and he takes tremendous pride in his work. Every pipe is straight, every weld clean and even. The job has always been done right, done quickly, and done at a fair price. Bob was particularly exceptional when we needed him to make an emergency visit. Our basement had flooded with sewage in the middle of the night, due to torrential rains and a back up in the line. Bob came at 6:00am on his Saturday morning, took care of everything, and the whole bill came out to just over $100. I was impressed at how careful he was to keep the house clean and impressed by his care in being quiet to avoid waking my year old daughter. He also fixed a cracked water line in my garage for next to nothing and helped me top off over a dozen radiators in my heating system (and explained how everything worked) free of charge. Bob has now done 5 projects for us and we use him exclusively. Negative reviews must have Bob Mertz (Mertz Plumbing & Heating) confused with the other Mertz company. This guy is as good and honest of a plumber as you'd ever hope to find.

Reasonable, knowledgeable and very nice!. I have used Mertz Plumbing for several years and have always had quality work done at a reasonable price. Please do not confuse his business with Matt Mertz Plumbing. NOT THE SAME QUALITY OF WORK AT ALL.

The plumber arrives on time and always calls to confirm to make sure it is still a good time for the customer. Ask anyone in the north hills Mertz Plumbing has the best rates and service around!

Not so impressed. I made the unfortunate mistake of calling Mertz plumbing. The woman who answered the phone was short with me and rude, but I assumed that she was just having a bad day. The plumbers came out a few days later to perform some various tasks: I.E. toilet/ faucet leaks. They sent two grown men out to make these basic repairs which I was indeed charged for. The bill was much higher than I thought it should be, and the same toilet began to run again almost immediately. This time I took advice from a friend who had a great experience from another local plumber named Matt Mertz Plumbing. Leary on it being the same last name I hesitated but called anyways needing the repairs done fast and right! Matt came out same day and fixed the problem by himself efficiently and reasonably. I found my new plumber. MATT MERTZ!!!! Watch which Mertz plumbing you call!!!!!

Generations of positive experience. I have used Mertz Plumbing (NOT Matt Mertz) for years with very positive results. My mother and my grandmother also have been customers. We have always been treated with the utmost courtesy, received prompt return calls, and have been impressed with the quality of the service. Plumbing is an expensive service regardless of who you call, and we feel that we received value for the expense.
