A great Italian Restaurant especially for this area. Excellent pork, veal and pasta dishes. Pay close attention to the specials. It is not inexpensive so don't be shocked at the bill. Given the general lack of truly good Italian restaurants in this part of Pittsburgh I would say it is one of the best within a 45 minute drive. A reasonable but limited wine selection with mixed drinks available. Parking is not a problem. Ambience is typical for the far northern suburbs of Pittsburgh.

Great Local Italian Place. Mario's is now located in a smaller facility, and they have brought only the best of their previous location with them. The Salmon salad is not only huge and delicious, but artfully presented. Be prepared to ask for a box to take the rest of your pasta with you. I've made a meal of just the appetizers - stuffed peppers, fried zucchini, eggplant parmesan - they're all fantastic. The pastas and entrees are all delicious, and the house-made sauce is killer. Mario's is now serving lunch from the same dinner menu, but they also have a selection of lunch specials. They have a full bar and plenty of parking in the lot. Very cozy decor - bring a date.

Wonderful homemade italian food. I recently visited this restaurant for the first time with my family. I have to say that this is some of the best italian food I have ever eaten. We got the fried zucchini as a starter and it was great, it was lightly hand breaded and delicious. The restaurant is not that big so if you're going on a weekend make reservations. I would definately reccomend this restaurant, the food and the service were both excellent.
