Salem >Kim Huong Restaurant
Awesome food and service!. I was introduced t Kim's about 10 years ago and have been a fan ever since. The food is always great and the service is quick. If you call in an order to go it's ready in about 10 minutes. It feels good to support a local business but it feels even better that their food is so good. Try them out, you'll be glad. I recommend beef w/vegetables, lemon grass chicken, grilled shrimp vermicelli, butter fried prawns, oh and you have to get the shrimp rolls. A refreshing choice for lunch or dinner! I vote Kim's!
Pho City in Salem!.
Kim Huong is one of two (at the time of this review) Vietnamese restaurants in Salem. Sadly, the only other competition and comparison is Saigon. The food here is not fantastic but its certainly decent by the limited options in Salem. The Pho is not anything to write home about, but the rest of the food (especially the Grilled chicken / pork) is quite tasty. Prices are average, meaning you won't spend more than $7 for a warm bowl of Pho (beef noodle soup for the non-Viet savy).
The decor of the restaurant is super plain but not too bad. It can fit a surprisingly good amount of people if full. One of the best things is the waitresses: attentive, prompt, and very considerate.
