What happened to good service?. I go to Duffy's for the great live music, but certainly not for the service. If you go there, realize you are there for THEIR pleasure. What came to mind on my last visit was the 'soup nazi' from a Seinfeld episode!

HORRIBLE service!!. I will never step foot in this bar again. Everyone who works here was nothing but rude and spiteful. As soon as you walk in the door you feel negative energy. I couldn't believe the bartender and her attitude, she obviously shouldnt be working with the public. Ordering something was like an inconveinence to her, not to mention there was two flea sized bugs on my lettuce. Ever since the new ownership, this place turned upside down... Do yourself a favor; there are plenty of other bars in Salem, try one of those!!

New Menu Items are excellent!. My husband and I used to go to Duffy's for lunch a while back but stopped because we got tired of the same old burger and fries for lunch. We recently decided to stop in for a red beer after work and found that it is now under new ownership. The place has been remodeled and expanded. There is also a very spacious outdoor area where those of us who are smokers don't have to feel like we've been sent out the back with the dumpsters. In addition to all the updates, the food is wonderful! We had the ribs and they were excellent! I had what was called a chicken club ... the biggest sandwich I've seen and it was also excellent but it is no longer on the menu :(

All in all, I would definately recommend Duffy's to a friend and hope they invite.

atmospherically cool. DUFFY'S IS A GREAT PLACE FOR A GOOD MIX OF MUSIC. IT FREQUENTLY HAS A LIVE BAND. THE BARTENDERS ARE FRIENDLY BUT ALSO STILL ABLE TO DO THEIR JOB PROPERLY, ESPECIALLY QUANNAH. THE MUSIC MIX IS CLASSIC ROCK, ALTERNATIVE (BUT NOT HEADBANGING OR MOSHING), LITE ROCK, AND A LITTLE COUNTRY. THERE ARE 4 POOL TABLES. THE ONLY THINGS MISSING ARE DART BOARDS. AHH, MAYBE ONE DAY.
