A great time for the whole family watching your food be prepared right in front of you with little jokes along the way. The experienced chefs are a little more fun to watch, but the food is always good.

If you are in Salem, and like sushi, give Kyoto a try. I love that you can sit and watch the sushi chef prepare meals, the food is very fresh and excellent. The prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is usually quiet and serene--as I feel a Japanese sushi restaurant should be.

As soon as I stepped into the restaurant, I was overpowered by funny smell. Plus, the carpet reminded me of some 80s hotel and that didn't even look clean. On top of that, the service was not good. The price seems unjustified for the atmosphere - I've been to top Japanese restaurants like Yamashiro and Nobu in L.A. and their price is similar (okay maybe a little bit higher) to Kyoto. I would never ever go back to this place again.
