Repeat customer gives up after many tries
by CGdePG
I finally gave up on Oya after 10 or so visits. My first stylist left for another firm so I tried another. While she was very nice, she just could not get my hair to come out right. It wasn't just that the styling was not right for me or my hair type - which it was not. The last two times the sides were not even - one side was significantly longer than the other. I went in for a touch up once, but it happened again and I was not willing to go back for another touch-up. The last straw was when I wore a blouse to work that I had last worn for a highlight. Unfortunately I did not notice until I was at work that the highlight solution had stained the collar of the blouse. If she had told me when it occurred, then I might have salvaged the blouse, but it was too late. OK, dumb move on my part to wear a decent blouse to a highligh (and to not check it out before driving to work), but she could have at least told me about it.
On the plus side, the highlight I received was excellent.
- Pros: Good color for highlights
- Cons: Uneven styling
FAB!!!

just got my hair done last week and I'm still excited about it. I decided to grow it out so Matt gave me a cut to help me get it going properly. I washed and styled it myself today and it still looks great.
The main thing I love about the oya experience is the people. Everyone is having fun and happy. If I didn't need a haircut I feel like I could grab a coffee and just sit and read magazines and gab for a few hours with anyone who works there. How rare is it not to feel intimidated by a salon??
- Pros: Wonderful open space, art, hip fun atmosphere
- Cons: none!
