I visited the Chillicothe Floral Hills Memory Gardens on Friday, May 28th. What I found was unmowed lots. Weeds were up to my knees. I saw others there with their own weed whackers trying to prepare their lots for Memorial Day. I left in tears. I have 7 loved ones buried there, of the 7 only 2 lots had been "weed whacked". I say weed whacked rather than mowed because their markers where hidden under foot long remains of grass/weeds. I returned later that day, with my son who brought a weed whacker. He cleared the 5 lots.
On Sunday, May 30th, I returned to the site and found that the grounds had been mowed - unfortunately all the markers were now covered with grass cuttings and weeds.
I have never seen the Garden look like this under the previous owners. Actually, a year ago when these new owners took over, I was told that they would be providing better care to the grounds, filling in sunken sites, replanting grass, and repairing the road. Needless to say, I am very upset with what I have found.
