JUST NOT RIGHT. Wow! This place is awful! We went here two years ago, and the food and service was nice. We recently went back and

it was gross,had terrible service and the staff was lacking in customer service skills.

First off, it seems this restaurant is more concerned about making a quick buck and serving mediorce dishes, is over rated and for the price you pay, the food looked and tasted like something you'd get at 'Chili's' or 'Denny's'.The worst thing of all, was the dinnerware! The wine glasses were dirty, spotted and the thing that almost made ill, was the fact that my wine glass had nasty,orange 'lipstick' stains on it and I was unaware and drank a few sips! Gosh, that ruined everything.



When we told our waiter, all he said was 'oh'..and brought back only one clean glass,when all of them were dirty. I would not recommend this over priced dump to anyone. Save your money do some research. When you go to this restaurant, you are obviously paying for the view and they are serving to tourists and they don't care.

When I mentioned the dirty glasses to the manager, he acted like nothing was wrong, said a quick..'Oh, I am sorry' and we could tell he just wanted to avoid the matter.This place is attempting to be 'upscale', when it is basically, more casual while serving slop. The Clam chowder was cold, thick and well..just bad. The Linguni Dish I ordered, was also sad, but atleast is was 'hot'. My friend ordered some fish dish and she said is tasted 'too fishy', which means it was probably really old. After all the problems, we just wanted to leave and our waiter wasn't helpful at all.

If anything, If 'Gordon Ramsey' walked into this place, they'd probably cry. Overall, I felt like the food was tasteless,had poor presentation,had dirty glassware and had poor customer service. I will NEVER go back this place again. What a waste of my time and money. It's no 5 star in my book.

Very solid seafood selection prepared and presented nicely with friendly customer service. Not Fine Dining.. My fiancee and I ate there on our last night of a four day visit to Monterey. We went there because she had a taste for Shrimp Scampi and this was the only reference we could find. A look at their online menu showed an impressive selection of offerings. While approaching one of their Chef's explained their specials and cordial answered our questions. Without a reservation we were sat promptly. She had the Surf and Turf (Prime Rib and Scampi) as I had a Scallop and Shrimp Pasta, both with dinner salads. Everything was timely and delicious with the exception of the Prime Rib, which was subpar at best, this was obviously not a Steak House, so maybe we should have expected. Dinner for two with a very drinkable bottle of Chardonnay with a healthy tip ran just under $200. This wasn't the most refined experience, but I guess I was setting the bar too high to expect that; a large table next to us had their food auctioned off table side, the table we were at was too small and although not dirty, the glassware and silverware should have been polished. All-in-all, I felt that the dining experience was positive and will return the next time I'm on the Wharf. They are just missing a few refinements that would make this place a true dining gem.

Great Food, Service Not Great. We visited Isabella's while on vacation in CA, and decided to give it a go...

While the seafood dishes were very good, and the portions were large, the service really turned us off of the place..

Our waitress made us feel like we were on her time, and during our meal we even witnessed 2 of the service staff having an arguement in the dining room.....

Maybe we there on an off night, and I would try the place again when in CA.
