Worst $30 hair cut of my life – A co-worker of mine suggested I go there to see Derek she talked about the amazing haircuts he gave. I called to schedule an appointment and was told that he had moved to Vegas. Since my co-worker thought so highly of this salon I assumed that all of the professionals there would be at or close to the caliper that she described Derek to be. So I scheduled an appointment with another stylist named Darcey.
I should have known from the moment I sat down that this girl was lazy. The first thing she asked me was if mind if she cut my hair dry. I told told her that everytime I have ever had my hair cut dry it comes out horribly. She then went on to tell me that she cuts hair better dry. I certainly couldn't argue with that. Besides the fact that she was in the middle of coloring her mothers hair and that her daughter kept interupting her while she was working on a paying customer this stylist didn't bother to section off my hair and cut it in layers instead she flat ironed my hair and bluntly cut it. She decided to give me side sweep bangs even though the picture I showed her didn't have them and when she was done The bangs just covered my eyes and looked rather silly. I told her I was unhappy with them so she cut them shorter in an effort to make them not just lay on top of my eye. As I was looking in the mirror at my finished hair cut I thought it might be uneven but I was so furious at how my hair turned out I just wanted to get out of there. So when I got home I took a good look at my hair and it was about half an inch longer on the left side and then it was progressively longer in the back (imagine the hair cut commonly given to mentally handicap people). I called the salon and told them how I was unhappy and that my hair was not even. The got me back in with the same stylist who tried to argue me out of the fact that my hair was uneven. I explained to her that I was very unhappy and that she should have cut my hair in sections and that my hair which is poker straight and never needs blow-drying now needs it otherwise some of my hair will flip some will curl under and some will stay straight. She then told me that my hair had a mind of it's own and that there was nothing she could do about that. Except for the fact that I have never had this problem before with my hair before and that surely it was from the way she cut it. Anyways after she re-cut it I ended up with a close to even hair cut that still gets progressively longer in the back which is no where close to the just cut it straight that I asked for.
No one at the salon ever apologized to me for her mistake, obvious laziness, and the fact that she would rather have finished color her mothers hair and entertain her daughter than take care of a paying customer.
