Decent enough but rude. The food is decent, nothing really amazing but we go with it on lazy days because they are the only ones that deliver out this far... that said the staff is consistently unpleasant and sometimes rude. Customer service is obviously not in their list of values.
Never admit a mistake.
On Friday 1-6-12 my wife and I bought an x-large pizza, and we ordered it with a "little extra sauce" because they never put enough on. It came with sauce literally dripping off the pizza; so much that even when scraping off as much as we could, we were drinking it rather than eating it.
Even an employee walking past said it was a 'sloppy mess'. After we'd finished "drinking" this monstrosity pizza, we complained to the cashier, who then questioned the cook. He wanted to know "what our problem" was , because he put 5 TIMES the sauce on-just like we asked! Since when does a little extra mean 5 times as much?? Doesn't anyone at Payne's have enough brains to even think that this order might be WRONG--then ask the customer? Obviously not! We asked them to make it right, but they refused--saying it was made just as we ordered it, so too bad!
This isn't the first time that Payne's has made our order wrong-then refused to do something about it. Each time they said that WE were wrong! Apparently we don't know what we like to eat--maybe that's it!!
There are too many pizza shop around them to put up with their arrogance, and we will not be back.
Payne's is the best!!!. Payne's is awesome I love the food and the customer service is great...I really like the tan girl with the dark curly hair she is very nice and has always taken good care of us!!!!!!!!
what about paynes pizza. First off to whom it may consern. If you don't like the paynes get over it they might not have very good attitudes but lets think of some reasons why that might be....They work around the clock all week,some of there employees are imcopatent, rude greedy customers, the drivers smash and crash food and there cars witch the owners provide.And lets get real who does that,other pizza places make the employees drive their own. And when you have to tell some one twenty time how to do somthing it gets alittle old and i'm sure anyone can agree with that. Honestly if you get to personaly know them they are hard working honest, and extreamly helpfulland very reliable people. You can't judge some one when you don't know them.I have had my far amount of crap and problem there but i will tell you one thing if some thing is wrong at paynes pizza it's not due to anything lacking on the owners part, I honestly think if they weren't there all the time that place would eat its self alive. And when it comes to there food they only use the best product avalible. They refuse to go cheap because of rasing food costs.They will always have my full respect and addmeration no matter what some of the fools around there might say. So if you want awsome food and a comfortale place to eat no matter the weather i say choose paynes pizza and more you can't go wrong.....
We do not order out much. But decided to tonight.
I looked up pizza places in Marion.
Decided to try paynes spaghetti.
I was suprised. It was actually good.
Did not taste like they dumped pizza sauce over noodles.
That is what it normally tastes like from a pizza shop.
Very large portion. Lots of meat. Normally you just get a couple of small Balls of some kind of meat thrown on top.
This was actually slices of sausage and hambugar added. And lots of it.
There were tomato chunks in it to.
Very large slice of garlic bread.
Enough where we will warm the other half for our lunch tomarrow.
Will be ordering again when we order out.

Manager/Owner needs to get out of the business. Have to agree with the folks about rude manager/owner. She doesn't really care about her customers, its bottom line money with her. We used to order from there ,but after our order was very late, very cold, and wrong I will not order again. I was not happy with the service, but what I really was unhappy with is the way it was fixed. The poor girl on the phone tried to make it bettter but I could here the manager in the back, next time she wants to talk about fixing an order make sure the phone is on hold. I could hear the rude manager talking. By the way if she is the one using the screen name blondebitch its pretty accurate.
In response to the missing Chips and Drink. THIS IS ORDER WAS ON BARKS RD. THE ORDER WAS NOT PLACED CORRECTLY. I AGREE THE CHIPS WERE NOT DELIVERED AT THE TIME OF ORDER, BUT THEY WERE BEING DELIVERED BEFORE I WAS EVEN CONTACTED ABOUT THE CHIP AND POP, THEN I RECIEVED A PHONE CALL EXPLAINING THAT THEY HAD A MISSING GRINDER THAT WAS NOT ON THE ORDER, AND NOT PAID FOR. SO I RESPECTFULLY TOLD THEM THAT I WOULD HAVE NO PROBLEM TAKING ANOTHER SANDWHICH OVER BUT IT WOULD NEED TO BE PAID FOR. THE CONVERSATION THAT I HAD BECAME THREE DIFFERENT CONVERSATIONS WITH THREE DIFFERENT WOMEN, AND I COULDN'T MAKE ANY OF THEM HAPPY. AS USUAL THREATS WERE MADE ON THEIR PART AND AS YOU CAN SEE ARE STILL NOT HAPPY. I"m sorry I couldn't serve these people to the best of there expectations.
Will miss the days when they cared about their service.. Used to serve about an 8" long guarter of a dill with the grinders which were mouthwatering. Those pickles were replaced by about a 3" quarter of a dill that is tasteless. Speaking of tasteless, the service is so lousy. I used to go in there in a good mood and leave feeling depressed. It's not just me, they make others Ive talked to feel that way too. Now I go somewhere else and stay clear away from Paynes pizza. Just thought I should share this info.
WOW!!!! PAYNEFUL (PAINFUL) ATTITUDE. STAY AWAY..
I agree with the posts about rudeness of the personnel but I have every reason to believe the owner is encouraging that. When the owner (blonde hair, approx. age 30s-40s) is behind the counter, it's as if she will deduct money from her staffers paychecks if they give a customer a smile, use manners or show they have a friendly side. Whether at the counter or over the phone, if you order food from PAYNEs PIZZA, you are treated as if you asked them to donate a kidney! That's no joke. The owner has a negative attitude 24/7 and you will see her behind the counter. I've witnessed rudeness and anger toward her customers. I've been a business owner for a very long time and with the negativity going on in there behind the counter, I'm surprised she hasn't gone out of business yet.
Glad to report I haven't been one of the unfortunate souls who had to battle it out with her over her skrewing up my order. It's not going to happen because I will only go where my business is appreciated.
SECOND CHANCE DISASTER BUYER BEWARE. A COLLECTIVE GROUP OF TEN PEOPLE PLACED AN ORDER FOR DELIVERY. YOU TELL THEM YOUR ORDER OVER THE PHONE YOU CAN ONLY HOPE THAT THEIR STAFF IS TYPING THE ORDER CORRECTLY. THE ORDER ARRIVED AFTER THE ESTIMATED TIME OF DELIVERY. ORDER WAS DELIVERED WITH NO DRINKS OR CHIPS. NINE OF THE TEN ORDERS EFFECTED. DELIVERY GUY SAID CALL THEM AND TELL THEM TO SEND THE REST. ONE GRINDER MISSING. AFTER CALLS TO CORRECT THE MISSING FOOD ITEMS MANAGEMENT GETS RUDE ON THE PHONE. WANTS TO CHARGE AGAIN FOR MISSING ORDER. THEY HAVE ALREADY COLLECTED MONEY WHEN THEY CAME FIRST TIME. WOULD NOT STAND BEHIND HER STAFF OR FOOD TO MAKE IT CORRECT. WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS IS THAT. IN TODAYS ECONOMY BUSINESS' NEED TO STAND OUT AMONG THE COMPETITION. UNFORTUNETLY PAYNES WILL STAND OUT IN OUR COMMUNITY AS A REAL PAIN TO ORDER FROM, AND A REAL PAIN OF A MANAGER. FROM NOW ON SUBWAY WILL GET OUR BUSINESS. ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS BUYER BEWARE. CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE YOU PAY. IF THERE IS A MISTAKE THE ONLY THING YOU WILL GET IS ATTITUDE.
