Located in Mammoth's quieter section, restaurant serves up Alpine-European cuisine in mountain setting..
Substituting the Sierra Nevadas for Matterhorn Mountain, this Swiss-style cafe was built in 1978. Though remodeled into a dinner grill in 1994, the restaurant still retains the aura of a Swiss chalet. Unlike many locations in Mammoth, locals outnumber the tourists during candle-lit dinners in the dining room and on the outdoor patio. Patrons enjoy pepper crusted rib-eye steak, cheese fondue, veal bratwurst with cabbage for dinner and Dutch pancakes and cranberry cocktails for brunch.
