Amazing Hotel! – I recently visited the Mirror Lake Inn on a trip to Lake Placid. This has to be one of the nicest hotels with the most cheerful service in the world. The rooms are comfy/clean, the staff is always helpful, the restaurants are very good, the spa is wonderful (I had a great massage) and I could go on and on about how much I loved this hotel. The indoor pool has a cute waterfall! Very romantic! The Mirror Lake Inn is centrally located and close to other restaurants, stores and most importantly the lake! I would go back to this to hotel anytime!!! I guess you can tell that I liked my experience here.

It must be Heaven – This was a surprise Valentine's Day present for my husband. I decided on a package that included an upgraded room, dinner and breakfast .
We checked in to find coffee and incredible chocolate chip cookies by the fireplace in the lobby! Our room was a terrific upgrade with an incredible view of Mirror Lake and the high peaks.
We had dinner at The View that night. I had the filet mignon. The waitress recommended an award winning red wine that even my husband enjoyed (not a wine drinker). My husband had the salmon and was quite satisfied. We couldn't decide on one dessert, so we shared two (the peanut butter tower and the apple fritters). I love breakfast in the morning, anything you want and as much as you want! I always go to the spa, it's one of my all time favorites. Be sure to check out the pool (it has a waterfall)!

A natural spa in the Lake Placid Olympic Village. – The Scene
In the town where the 1932 Winter Olympics were held, this inn carries on a year-round sporting spirit. It dates back to 1924 and is the sight of the first electronic rope-tow, first bobsled and first snowmaking machine. You'll find everything expected from a good spa resort, including treatment facilities, tennis, sauna and heated outdoor and indoor pools. As well, you can skate on the Olympic Oval, go skiing, bobsledding or ride a luge. During the summer, canoe trips, fishing and bike tours round out the activity menu.
The large range of room prices reflects the equally large range of room types. The smallest rooms are no more than efficiency units, with queen-sized beds and no views. Other accommodations are larger, with private balconies looking over the lake. If you want a featherbed and whirlpool bath, check into a king-sized loft. Suites come with more updated linens. The tone is casual at the in-house Cottage Cafe. Billed as a pub, it's popular for après-ski or post-bike ride drinks.
