Excellent experience!!!.
I recently had the priviledge of using the NDH acute re-habilitation facility.
From my admission on 12/2/11, through my discharge on 12/13/11, everyone I came in contact with treated me with respect, concern, consideration and with the utmost expertise.
The administration staff asked only enough questions to get the job done. Their style was very friendly and supportive. Environmental Services kept my room and sanitary facilities very clean, even after I messed them up.
I was able to select the food entries I liked, from a large variety. Meals were served on time and were hot and tasty. If I asked for something that was not routinely offered, the kitchen staff came through.
Nurses, therapists, aides and physicians answered every inquiry I made, be it general, personal or medical in nature. Therapists pushed my physical capabilities and, hence, helped me recover from a broken leg in record time.
In short, I received the best possible care and liken same to a five star hotel/restaurant. Is this an exaggeration? Perhaps, but not by much.…
just don't put your life in their hands....
through several experiences with Northern Dutchess Hospital i have found the general handling, ER treatment, and nursing staff highly limited. there is a cookie-cutter approach to most situations.
a few of the doctors are good, however there is a real lack of an individualized focus on the patient's condition and concerns, which compromises necessary care in emergency situations.
important things are missed in an atmosphere of rigid diagnostic criteria.
it is an ok facility for low level ER needs or to arrange surgery as an outpatient through a private doctor, however i have resigned myself to the fact that if i ever get seriously ill again, i would sooner 'book it' an hour up or down the pike to a more experienced facility than return to ND.…
CORRECT MAIN NUMBER IS 845-876-3001. 871-4302 IS THE FITNESS CENTER AT NDH, NOT THE MAIN NUMBER FYI.
Worked there as a Travel Nurse. I worked there as an RN for 13 weeks and it is a nice little hospital, the nurses are genuine and caring. Would go back if it was closer to home. It is a small hospital with a big heart.
Think Twice. My first-hand knowledge is of the emergency room, with is definitely second rate. I had to wait forever only to have my injury misdiagnosed. A second visit with a friend was no different. Go to Vassar Brothers in Poughkeepsie or some other better place.…
