Good food, friendly staff. I suppose its been a few years or so now, since a new family took over this restaurant, but aside from the succulent boneless ribs that I miss so much, I would say that there is a marked improvement in the food. The General Tso's chicken is fantastic. Pan fried garlic wontons or the crab-cheese wontons are a real bargain and the best around. Beef lo mein or the chicken with garlic sauce, both well executed. Shrimp with broccoli is really great, with the brown sauce nice and thick, and the shrimp large and succulent. There are other dishes too that are done well or even very well.

Another strong point is their lunch specials. Not only a few bucks cheaper than a dinner combo, but still includes an egg roll, where most chinese take-out places drop the egg roll from the lunch special. Not only that, you can elect to get a drink or wonton soup in place of the egg roll. Fanstastic!

I have to say though, that I am not really a fan of their boneless ribs. Too tough, and just not quite the flavor I like. There have been a few other dishes as well that didn't quite hit the mark for me, but I suppose every place has its weaker dishes for one reason or another.

The other low point for most people, is that the place is a real hole in the wall. Zero points for eat-in ambiance, I only do take out. But I have never had a problem with bad food or anything like that. The place is clean, just small and run-down. On the other hand, I kind of actually like this about the place. Somehow lends to the authenticty of non-pretentious good Chinese takout.

And I have to say, for some reason a lot of Asian places aren't known for friendly service at all. But the folks here really are nice people, and I am glad to give them my business.
