Still Fantasizing About It. My boyfriend and I had an unforgettable dinner at the Plaza Cafe this past wknd. During the blizzard, we sat at a romantic table next to a roaring fire. The list of domestic wines were impressive and we thorougly enjoyed our cabernet. The food...FANTASTIC! I started with an arugula and portabello salad drizzled in a balsamic dressing. My boyfriend's shrimp and risotto were delicious. My salmon entree was, without a doubt, the BEST salmon I have ever had - the chef cooked it medium rare and I have never tasted such fresh and flavorful fish! My boyfriend had the duck and raved as well. The portions were large - generous and filling! Our desserts were simple but yummy - a pear / cranberry crisp and the creme brulee. We had a truly divine evening and will definitely be returning the next time we are in Southampton!
