A popular Hamptons' sushi spot puts the emphasis on the freshness of its fish and the creativity of its rolls..
It's a madhouse almost every day of the week during the high season, and don't be surprised to see a few recognizable faces noshing on raw fish. Servers do their best to keep up with the frenzied pace of the kitchen, sushi bar and diners' appetites, but they almost always fall behind.
The menu is unbelievably long, meaning even sushi-wary diners will find something to order. Miso-glazed cod is excellent--perfectly oily, soft and lush; tempura is fine, though a bit clunky. The sushi is the real draw, and the sashimi plate features good quality fish. But most folks order the rolls, like the trusty Spider roll, with soft-shell crab which is not to miss.
