A little pricey.
We went there for a Sunday breakfast after checking out the excellent Sage nursery next door and the beautiful Montano de Oro State Park. The food all tasted good but portions were meager. Neither quality nor quantity demanded the high price tags on the menu. Maybe in San Luis Obispo this can slide, but even there you can find yummy cafes that offer great-tasting, decently sized portions for less. The service wasn't that great either - we had an issue with a missing muffin.
Overall, a solid cafe (especially if you like eggs and bacon - plenty of those on the menu) but be ready to pay a premium for a smaller quantity than you might expect.
I loved working here. I have worked at a lot of resturants and this was my favorite..Celia is such a caring loving person..she was like my mom when I lived in Los osos..Miss you guys I hope all it well..My father says you guys are still very busy..keep up the good work!!
Terrible service, very unattentive. Just came back from breakfast on a Sunday morning and it was not good. The service was completely unattentive, never offered to refill coffee or water so we always had to flag someone down, and our food took 40 minutes (as I know because we were seated within view of the large clock above the door). My dad ordered his steak MR but it was well. Finally flagged down our server, who never came back to check after she dropped off the food, and she took to the kitchen for replacement. When it came back it was rare, and I mean rare, but we couldn't be bothered waiting again for a new steak, and of course she never came back to check on the new steak. Other than the steak, and the very dry muffins, the food wasn't bad but the service really spoiled the experience and me, my husband and my parents (who would have loved to have found a good local place for breakfast) won't be back.
