Horrific!. overpriced, crowded and at times dangerous! This place attracts a mixed crowd which seems to always include a cadre of thugs and gangster wannabes who intimidate legitimate patrons. The security is a joke, the sound system is terrible, and one exit for a crowded second story venue makes it a fire trap. To top it off, a $15 dollar cover charge and overpriced drinks to see local enertainment seems excessive. Also, DJ Cleveland is at times irritating. Last night he blasted shrill ear piercing noise during BigShot's warm up, which gave me a headache and truly wrecked the show. My advice is to stay clear of this place and go elsewhere!

No Jazz. I have been going to this place for years. It used to be one of my favorite places to go on a Friday or Saturday night. It is no longer a good atmosphere. It has changed. I went on 11/26/10 to see Big Shot. It cost $15 dollars per person to see them play for about an hour. The drinks are overpriced. It is not a safe place for me to drink, because for some reason, there is always some guy who wants to fight me. I can't figure why. Port Jeff is an expensive, white, upscale neighborhood. It has happened to me three times, and the first time that it happened, I did not drink because I had a blood test in the morning. Be ready for a fight. I took my girl there, and while I was dancing with her, there was some other guy grinding up against her from behind. Do not get drunk there, it is not safe to do so. The people that work as bouncers are mentally retarded. They are seven feet tall and retarded. Don't expect any help from them. The last few times that I was there, it was so crowded that you cannot get anywhere. Not to the bar or the dance floor without bumping in to someone. And then they want to fight. It is a sausage fest like I have never seen before. A packed in, angry sausage fest. If you do go, you need to have a few drinks to make this place tolerable, but be very careful not to drink too much. I have never had any one start a fight with me in any club, and I have been to several in Manhattan, Queens, Nassau and Suffolk. This is no longer a safe place to take your girl if she wants to go out clubbing. If you go, please heed to my warning, and be careful on the stairs.

Duck!. Jazz? Not really.....you only have to go to their website....makes you feel like you walked into an orgee hosted by Lawrence Welk. Total s**t pit...and rather than improve quality of service they have the competition raided.....I'm sorry...a place that caresses heat can keep the seat

overpriced and LOUD. Reasons why I will not go back to thsi place: a hefty cover charge with little to show for it, cheesy wedding band playing WAY TOO LOUD so you have to scream over the music to talk to your friends, and overpriced drinks that show the owners must thing they're operating in Manhattan. We've been here several times over the years, and I am invariably disappointed. I would describe the crowd as a mix of middle-aged parents, young professionals, and kids off the boat from Conn. We won't be back.
