Very good Pizza. Mulberry Street has good pizza - this coming from a Brooklyn transplant. I moved out here 2 years ago and basically thought we would be camping out in the pizza dept.

Mulberry Street is as good as many of our neighborhood pizzerias in Brooklyn were. I order from here all the time and the grandma pies are excellent!

Thank you Mulberry Street

Poor Service. Visited Mulberry Street the evening of 12/21/08 with a gift certificate in search of a place to have a family gathering with a nice environment and good food. Food & Service was good.

When we tried to pay the bill using the gift card, the owner or manager on duty that night told us that it was not a gift certificate for their establishment. I pointed out that the card I gave him said "THIS CARD.... for $20" He claimed that we were trying to cheat him, and pointed out that there were slots in the card that we had, for a plastic credit card type card, after he found the slots and punched them out for us.

I told him it was not obvious on the card and the wording was not clear that there was an "ATTACHED" card. I offered to meed him half way a pay for half of the gift card. He flatly said NO! When I gave him cash to cover the entire bill, he made a stink because I was still a dollar short. (just a oversight on my behalf), and I gave him the extra dollar.

Mulberry Street is not in an obvious place that you would find, if you were not looking for it (hidden in a shopping area). I think the gift certificate we received made us find the place and be a possible customer for the future, but the way we were treated that night I would not ever go there again, and make this clear to our friends and associates too. Obviously, our family gathering will be held elsewhere.

P.S. While eatiing dinner the family 2 tables from us were having problems with the same man. I don't know what the outcome of their experience was but they did not leave happy either.

If you are looking for a good place to eat and enjoy your evening, I recommend that you NOT go to Mulberry Street in Babylon.

Insect in Food. A few years ago I used to visit this place often for their salad pizza. One day I happened to notice something strange on the slice. I showed the gentleman behind the counter, in a discreet manner, that there was a insect on the pizza. At first he denied that this was the case, and tried to pass it off as "oven residue". I'm not even sure what that is. After I pointed out the antenna and wings that the "oven residue" possessed, he brought over his manager. I showed the manager the insect and he turned to me and said, "So what do you want me to do about it?" I didn't know how to answer. Having worked in the restaurant business before, I know that in situations like these a apologetic attitude works much better than a defensive one. All I could say was, just make sure in the future that you wash the lettuce in a more thorough manner. He said he could not prevent situations like these. That secured the fact that I was never to return. He never offered me another slice (I had only taken two bites) or a refund. I didn't bother to ask, he was being completely unprofessional. I don't know if my young face made him feel like he could treat me in that manner, but I've made sure to tell everyone I know who eats there to avoid it in the future. My advice for that manager: be more professional and wash your lettuce!

Quality Italian Food!. It all starts with great sauce. The chicken parm is awesome. Pastas are cooked right. Meatballs are great but the sausages are a little tough and overcooked but still tasty.

They even cook some signature chicken dishes without flour for my wife.

Pizza in the front is some of the best on the Island.

We go once a month.
