The Scene
This house feels tranquil enough to be part of a retirement village. It provides pleasant if characterless accommodation in one of the most sought-after real estate zones in the country. The building itself is a low-rise structure perched at the edge of a neat, wide lawn adorned with dogwood trees and evergreens.
The Details
All rooms overlook the lawn by way of a small balcony or patio. Overall, accommodations are basic. Studios are simply standard hotel rooms with queen-size beds. Deluxe studios have partitions for sitting areas with a sofa and coffee table. The next step up is a suite which has substantially more space. The fitness center is small but adequate, with a few free weights and cardiovascular machines. An outdoor pool and tennis court sit beyond a dogwood barrier. With its pretty windmills, book stores, movie theater, and tony shops and restaurants, the nearby Village of East Hampton is one of this property's best assets.
