BEWARE-FOOD POISONING at CHART HOUSE!!!. BEWARE-FOOD POISONING at CHART HOUSE TAHOE!!!

On July 26, 2011 my 2 daughters and I went to the Chart House-Tahoe for my birthday dinner. I hadn't seen them for several days so there are no other common factors at play here. One daughter ate only what she ordered and was fine. The other daughter and I shared a shrimp cocktail, stuffed mushrooms(with crab), scallops, and key lime pie. We both woke up at 4-5 AM with nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, alternating chills & sweats, and completely achy body...JUST TERRIBLE! This lasted for 2 full days. Clearly this is food poisoning, comparable to the worst flu I've ever experienced. It was not until 5 day later that we were both back to feeling completely well. I am a 26 year Tahoe resident and have been to the Chart House numerous times. After this horrible experience I WILL NEVER GO AGAIN. I called and they refused to refund the $150 I spent on this unsanitary, unhealthy meal. Nice!

The restaurants, many of which occupy historic buildings, draw on the local region's natural features, making each one unique. Fresh fish and seafood dominate the menu with offerings like jumbo lump crab cakes, mahi mahi and Australian lobster tail. For landlubbers, there's prime rib, filet mignon and N.Y. strip steak. Sweet finishes include hot chocolate lava cake and raspberry creme brulee.

Absolutely Perfect!. My husband and I were married in South Lake Tahoe and were looking for a nice restaurant in the area to have our dinner for our small wedding party. We couldn't have picked a better place. The food was delicious and the service was amazing!!!! Our waiter was attentive and knowledgable. He offered several suggestions that were perfect. He chose the wine for several people. And he was available for our every need!. The view was gorgeous of the lake. It was a truely enjoyable experience. I was a little hesitant to eat here because I had a wonderful experience at the Chart House in Redondo Beach, CA but an awful experience at the one in Marina del Rey, CA. But, this Chart House has renewed by faith. It was fantastic!!!
