Very low quality hair.
As a hair buying "veteran" of 15+ years, I decided to give His and Her a shot after buying virgin (unprocessed) hair from India and Europe directly- with real human hair you can naturally, dye it,
flat iron it, curl it, bleach it- and it will behave like your own hair would....and it should last for about 5 years.
I was instructed that I could not process or heat style His & Her hair to avoid damage, and I absolutely shouldn't dye or bleach it- why? The only answer I got was "it will damage the hair"- should have been a red flag. After 3 months of no heat styling or dying, the hair became a tangled mess, and the track shed gradually and became very sparse. The hair had clearly been treated to appear "silky" and healthy for a few washes, but was clearly over processed damaged hair that had received the standard "stripping" low quality hair receives- I expect this at 20$ a pack from Sally Beauty, but not at the prices or claims of His & Her. After telling this to a few hair extension stylists they both responded without surprise- apparently His & Her has a reputation of not holding up to other "high end human hair" distributers at all, among industry insiders.…
High end salon results in the back of a warehouse. I've been looking for somewhere in my Miracle Mile/Park La Brea neighborhood to get hair extensions done immediately. Most of the salons in the area quoted me prices in the $600-$800 range, and no one could schedule me for the same day, or offered hair in store. This place costs $200 + hair, which is all in store. Recommend D'Lisa, who did a great job and had a steady stream of clients of all ethnicities and ages. I had to wait several hours until her scheduled appointments were over, but she helped me select the hair and gave me a natural look appropriate for a first timer, and gave great suggestions on other techniques I could use in the future.…
